40 Chapter 40: Merchants guild (2/2)
Caesar smiled slyly and leaned back in his chair ”I want the merchants guild to help mass produce my weapons under the leadership of Danny and sell them with the best of their abilities… I will gain 90% of all profits whereas the merchants guild will gain 10%”
Olivia looked, Caesar, shocked ”only 10%?”
”We won't be buyer and seller but instead partners, you will gain 10% of all transactions including future weapons which will result in you being the top market for weapons”
Caesar paused for a second and continued
”Although you gain less money you will gain much more fame”
Olivia tapped the desk and contemplated ”Will we sell them under our name or yours?” Olivia looked at Caesar curiously
”We will sell them under a company name, the merchants guild will become partners with said company…” as Caesar said this he flipped a black coin with purple edged in his hand.
Olivia placed her chin in her hands and hummed ”hmmm”
While she was still in contemplation Caesar delivered the final blow ”I will also gift you a few ballista's and a couple dozen crossbows to showcase to the buyers”
Olivia stood up from her desk and paced back and forth while thinking to her self ”the merchants guild will undoubtfully make a lot of money from this deal and we practically don't lose anything but…. This man will make an incredible amount of money as well, I Don't have any way to rebuke him either, he is too good…”
Olivia sat back at her desk and raised 2 fingers ”25% and it's a deal?”
Caesar shook his head… ”10%, take it or leave it”
Olivia audibly gnashed her teeth before dropping her head in resignation, ”I will speak to my boss about your proposition, I will get back to you when I confirm our stance on the matter”
Caesar stood up from his chair and nodded ”I expect to hear the good news” he chuckled and walked towards the door.
Sebastian followed silently and they soon left Olvia alone… Caesar and Sebastian walked through the long hallway and down the stairs.
”Young master, do you think they will accept?” Sebastian asked
”They don't have a position to decline” Caesar replied
Sebastian looked at Caesar curiously ”what do you mean?”
”This deal will make them earn lots of money, my weapons will sell to nobles, kings, mercenaries, rebels, etc… etc… The market for weapons at this time is extraordinary, I don't need to sell them through the merchants guild in particular but they will need me” Caesar replied
”I see” Sebastian answered absentmindedly
Caesar stepped back into the carriage and sat down… he placed his head in his palm and smiled ”and because they gain 10% of all money from transactions made, they will try their best to sell more products which will, in turn, make me more money… it's hitting two birds with one stone”
Once Sebastian sat in the carriage, Caesar opened the window and ordered the carriage drive ”head towards the blacksmith”
”As you command”
Caesar sat back down in the carriage and saw Sebastian looking at him curiously...
”I need to get some tools for Joe, I promised him I would” Caesar explained
Sebastian nodded his head in understanding, they both sat in silence for the rest of the way until the carriage finally stopped. Caesar stepped out and walked into the blacksmith.
*bang*
*bang*
The sound of hammering resounded throughout the entire shop, Caesar calmly walked to the counter, the sound of hammering abruptly stopped and a muscled man entered into Caesar's eyes.
”Long time no see” Caesar smiled and greeted
”Indeed, what do you need?”
Caesar stroked his chin ”I need a pair of blacksmithing tools”
”Alright, I can get that for you”
After waiting for about 10 minutes the man came back with a big bag full of tools… ”that will be 20 silver coins”
Caesar placed a gold coin on the desk and picked up the bag, ”keep the change” he said with a smile as he walked out of the blacksmith shop.
*step*
Caesar stepped back into the carriage and sat down, he placed the bag of things on the other side of the seat next to Sebastian.
”Alright, head back home… I got a promise to keep with Elizabeth” Caesar said loudly to the carriage drive
