23 Chapter 23: Preperations (1/2)
Caesar was deep in thought while finishing his tea ”According to Ahri since the dark continent is lacking a leader. The biggest superpower in this world right now should be the church… I should tread carefully if I meet anyone from the church as to not give away my lineage” Caesar thought inwardly
”Ting”
Caesar finished the tea in his cup and placed it down on the plate, he looked up at Ahri and said with a serious expression.
”This kingdom will soon be warred upon… We estimate they will arrive in about a week and a half, I was wondering if you would like to join me in battle?” Cesar said seriously
Ahri had a contemplating expression on her face for a few seconds before looking at Caesar with resolution in her eyes ”I can't just go and let my strategist fight alone” She said while puffing up her chest
”Thank you Ahri,” Caesar said with a gentle smile
”Hmph, I-It's not for you specifically or anything I just don't want my strategist to die” Ahri turned her face away and spoke quickly, red tinted her cheeks.
”We have been here for a while, your servant Edward is probably getting worried. Shall we head back?” Caesar abruptly changed the topic
”Yes, L-Lets.”
Ahri hopped off her chair like a frightened rabbit and started rushing for the door, right as she was about to exit the room and open the door. Two long pale white arms came from behind and held her tight.
”Why are you in such a hurry to leave, all of this talking has chapped my lips you see?” Caesar said in a deep seductive voice while breathing warmly on the back of her neck
”W-what are you doing? I-I can just cut my self and give you some b-blood if you want that”
Caesar edged his face closer and bit one of her fox ears ”but I prefer drinking from the bottle” Caesar said again
”Yelp”
Ahri yelped from the foreign feeling, her ears are quite sensitive… Caesar moved his head lower until it reached her neck, his fangs grew and he punctured her neck.
”Puch”
”Y-youuuu~” Ahri purred in his embrace
Caesar took his mouth away from her neck much faster than last time… He didn't want the girl to faint. Caesar looked at the limp girl in his hands and smiled slyly, he hurled her over his shoulder and walked out of his room.
”Don't let anyone see my appearance, it's embarrassing” she called out from his shoulder
Caesar didn't bother to respond as he walked through his residence.
”Young master, are you heading out already?”
Sebastian looked at the girl on Caesar's shoulder and at the satisfied smile he had on his face and shook his head slowly.
”Yes, is my carriage already prepared?”
”It is already parked outside young master”
Caesar nodded his head and stepped outside, he got on the carriage and placed Ahri down on the other side of the carriage. Caesar opened the front window ”head towards the outskirts of the kingdom”
”As you command”
The carriage slowly moved through the streets towards where the currently training knights resided. Caesar looked outside the window in the carriage and contemplated ”I didn't gain a percentage towards my physique by drinking her blood this time… It appears it is going to be much harder to evolve this time than last time” He thought to himself bitterly
”We have arrived my lord” The carriage driver broke him out of this thought
Caesar thanked the driver and stepped out of the carriage, Ahri was still a bit dazed but got a hold of herself after noticing the carriage drivers weird look. She stepped out of the carriage soon after with Caesar's help.
”I-I told you not to let anyone see” Ahri puffed up her cheeks in irritation
”See what?”
Ahri looked at Caesar with a loss of words before she shifted her head in annoyance
Caesar soon spotted the knight's, they seemed to be doing what looked like kendo practice from his past life. Caesar approached Edward ”how is the training going?”
Edward looked over after hearing Caesar's voice and smiled ”these knight's pick up on things extraordinarily fast and their foundation is amazing”
”Don't praise them too much, they will get too arrogant and I will have to show them their place again hahaha” Caesar said in a sarcastic tone
”I see, I will take your advice. I have never trained anyone before”
Caesar nodded solemnly and pulled Edward closer to him, Caesar acted as though he was a wise sage as he said ”the more lenient the teacher the worse he is, you must break your student's bodies so that they can repair them and be reborn… How do you think their foundation is so good?”
Edward's eyes shone like he got some kind of revelation ”Thank you, I will employ your strategies immediately”
Caesar felt as though he could feel the resentful stares of the knights concentrate on his back.
Caesar laughed inside while he walked towards where Ahri was… ”seems like everything is going smoothly here, I am going to go check on the weapons being crafted. Would you like to stay here or come with me?”
Ahri hesitated for a little while before saying: ”Hmph, who would want to go with you… I will wait here for your return”
”Is that so? Well, I will see you later then” Caesar said slowly while thinking ”this girl is truly hard to understand sometimes”
Caesar didn't wait for Ahri's reply and walked towards Danny's workshop. Along the way, a pale white carriage with golden wings engraved on to it, carried by beautiful white horses passed by Caesar.
