14 Chapter 14: A storm is coming (2/2)

The king's eyes suddenly grew serious and said ”This meeting isn't only about the assassination of my son, due to this event my eyes have been opened”

The king paused for a second and continued ” The three kingdoms to the south of us have banded together to form a much larger force than us…. I got word from my scouts that they have an army of 15000 soldiers only a months out from us and they are marching our way”

The mouths of the dukes around table dropped and said

”M-my god, how can this be”

”Our numbers are merely 4500, how can we fight against them”

The king looked down sadly then said ”they even have 10-15 wyvern riders” Hearing this all of the people around the table lost hope in their eyes, even my father was thinking for a solution before he said ”We need to evacuate the people before they reach us”

The king nodded slowly, at this time I stepped up and put my hand in front of my heart as I did a half bow.

”My king, I have new weapons of destruction being created not to mention I believe I can lead our soldiers to victory”

The dukes around the table grew enraged

”What can a mere 20 year old accomplish”

”Hmph, kids these days are so arrogant”

The king raised his hand and silenced the other dukes, and looked towards Caesar with interest in his eyes.

”What makes you so confident”

Caesar smiled slyly ”With my army of 500 I defeated an elven army of 3000… why couldn't I defeat an army of 15000 with 4500”

The king stood up quickly and asked in a raised voice ”Can you really do it?”

”I swear on my name of Mephesto Pheles however your majesty do you perhaps have an excess amounts of engineers. Perhaps I could speed up the process of my weapons if so”

The king stood there for a second and then said ”yes, I have many engineers and blacksmiths that are licensed as our personal builders… I can temporarily leave them to you”

”That would be excellent, Its better I show all of you the potential of these weapons”

The king raised an eyebrow and looked at Caesar with interest ”How about tomorrow morning”

”That would be fine, please send your engineers to Danny's workshop and your blacksmiths to Roy's shop”

The minister to the side of the king scribbled down some words and nodded his head towards the king… The king once again looked at Caesar ”I hope you can pull this off, this meeting is now dismissed. We will meet again tomorrow morning at the places Mephesto has just called off”

Caesar stood up and started walking away, inside he was thinking ”This is a perfect chance to show the strength of my weapons to other kingdoms. Once this war's news gets out people will line up to purchase my weapons”

Caesar could not help but let out a chuckle as he was thinking about the upcoming battle, the king and the other dukes seeing this couldn't help but think inside ”Maybe this madman can really pull off a miracle…”

Caesar walked out of the palace gates and decided to walk home, suddenly two people jumped in front of him and kneeled down.

A man and woman's voice sounded at the same time

”We have completed the objective, we are going to return to the assassin's guild and write a letter to you if any notable information reaches our ears”

They both stood up and their identities were revealed, it was Anthony and Riza… Caesar smiled deviously and said ”good work you two, assassinating the second prince is something that will help this kingdom.”

Riza and Anthony both nodded their heads and went a away a second after. Caesar walked back to the manor and opened the door. Elizabeth was sleeping on the couch in the living room. presumably she was waiting for them to get back, seeing this Caesar smiled and rubbed her hair a bit before walking back to his room.

”Report King, the Rahvin Kingdom scouts have spotted our army”

”Just ours? Good, they will relay false information to their kingdom hahaha”

The man turned to his right and looked at the 10000 strong army of elves and looked at the princess leading them and said ”To think the elven saint Anna would help us destroy the Rahvin kingdom”

”I have a personal score I must settle” Anna clenched her teeth hard after saying this

A cheerful youth to the right of her was all smiles and said ”haha, Anna you said you would join my group If I helped you take down this 'evil general' Mephesto right?”

”T-that is correct” Anna said quickly

”Yoohoo, I can complete the popes objective earlier than I expected”

An army of 25000 slowly marched towards Rahvin kingdom and the main antagonist of all of this was currently sitting in his room sipping on wine looking at a new blueprint he just illustrated.

”Hahahaha, They will regret turning their sights on my family and my kingdom” Caesars room radiated a strong killing intent as well as a devilish laughte
