Chapter 150 - Why are you here? (2/2)

”I saw him strip off his clothes and stepped into the blood-filled bathtub. Not only that, the stitched skin that was floating in the tub was used as a body scrub too. It was very disgusting. His voice sounded like those sick patients in their death beds.”

Subconsciously, she started rubbing her arms to get rid of the goosebumps on her body. Her eyelashes fluttered as she felt extremely disturbed, ”D..did he say anything?”

Chen Nan nodded and said, ”I don't want to die. After hearing his words and seeing that his back was towards me, I wanted to sneak out of there. Luck was obviously not on my side because when I turned the knob and pulled the door open, it triggered an alarm. That old man instantly turned around...”

Her body trembled as she attempted to maintain her composure. ”But he's an old man...so, you should be able to outrun him...”

”That's what I thought too, but that wasn't the case at all. He was fast enough to grab a hold of my shirt and I was running using all my strength already. Not only that, the old man had weird eyes. His eyes were deep red. And the rest, I will leave it to Alexander.”

Alexander let out a sigh and said, ”I'm not going to tell you guys why I went there, but the room that both of you were in was a danger zone. It was a forbidden area in this place. I have no idea how you guys snuck in, but I could only say that you two need to get out of here as soon as possible.”

”Anyways, when you peeked at the old man's bathing session, he already knew that you were in the room. You might not have noticed it, but he slowly hypnotized you without your knowledge. Luckily, you managed to get away from him and ran into me.”

”When he lost consciousness, I carried him back to my room before the old man caught up. In the middle of dragging his body, he mumbled your name. So that was why I went back after tossing him on my bed.”

She pinched her chin as she listened to his part of the story. For some reason, she felt that it was odd. As always, she straightforwardly exposed her thoughts and asked, ”Why did he faint? How did you know I would be back? What if he was just saying my name because he was hypnotized?”

As if he had already expected this reaction from her, he immediately responded, ”Once the hypnotism fails, the target would lose consciousness. We used to pair up when it comes to dangerous missions. If he could say your name before falling unconscious, then it wouldn't hurt to go back there to see if you happen to be there too.”

”If we talk about the routes in this place, then I am more confident in getting in and out of here with no problem. If it's about what's in here and where different rooms are located, then I would also have more information than you guys. Since I've answered your concerns, how about you answer my questions? Why were you two here?”
