Chapter 113 - Its Only a Matter of Time (1/2)
Lily and Ariana sat on the couch in Susu's room with their feet stomped on Kitty's back to keep her disfigured cheek lay flat against the cold floor. Kitty's nose and neck was sore to the point where it hurts to move at the slightest angle. In the middle of waiting for Chen Mu and Lin Que to come back, somebody's phone vibrated multiple times.
”Whose phone is that? Can you please pick up the call, message or whatever outside? It's distracting us.” Zi Yan spoke in a soft voice while wiping Susu's forehead with a wet cloth. Professor Luo Xia remained silent, but the frown on his face was evident.
Lily, Ariana and Chen Nan shook their heads, ”the vibration isn't from any of our phones.” Another vibration occurred, and Lily followed the sounds to Kitty's back pocket.
”Nevermind. I know where it's coming from. Let me turn it off.” Lily got up from her seat, bent down and took Kitty's phone. She flipped the phone around, squinted at the caller ID on the screen and said, ”guys, I think I found Mama Cat behind this cat's chase. Look.”
”Karen? As in...Karen.. Yin? Susu's stepsister?” Professor Luo Xia asked in a questioning tone.
”Let's confirm it,” Lily accepted the call and muted it the second the call connected.
Karen shouted loud into the phone, ”Finally picking up the damn call?! Did you do as I instruct? Huh? Say something? Why so quiet? Did you give the medicine to Susu yet?! Hello?? Are you f.u.c.k.i.n.g deaf??”
Lily cut off the call and bent down once again, ”So, Kitty cat, did you have fun teaming up with Karen Yin against my Susu? Answer my question!” She lifted Kitty's face and met her tired eyes.
”She blackmailed me. I had to do it. I didn't want to. I'm also a victim.” Kitty bit down on her lips and crossed her fingers for everyone in the room to understand her situation.
”You said that you're a victim? Did she point a gun to your head or did she hold your hands to change the drugs for Susu's chemotherapy treatment? Hmm?” Ariana pressed her entire weight on Kitty's ankle using her foot as she failed to suppress her anger.
”Ahhh!! My ankle!! You're breaking it!! It hurts!! Stop it!” Kitty screamed in agony as tears mixed with her blood and lightened its color on her pale skin.
”Pain? Then what about our Susu's pain? Did you think meals come with free fruits? You did something like this, so you should have expected a price. Handing you to the police is too unsatisfying, so I'll help send you to hell instead.” Lily rolled up her sleeves and prepared for a nice round of skinning a bitchy face using a mini blade.
”Stop for a second,” Chen Mu walked in with a gloomy expression as he walked towards Kitty. Ariana lifted her foot and Kitty sighed in relief that at least one person understood her situation. When he bent down and reached for her wrist, she thought that he came over to help her. She was about to thank him, but was interrupted by the immense pain in her wrist.
She shrieked in pain as he calmly stared down at her, ”I told you that I would break your bones one by one for every hour that Susu remains like this. I started with your right wrist. Did that hurt? Too bad. You are screaming in pain and calling out for mercy, but when have you ever given Susu mercy when you gave her an unknown drug? She couldn't even scream out her pain, so you have no right to do so. You only thought of yourself and nothing about others well being. You're nothing but a selfish bitch.”
He wiped his hands with sanitizing wipes and stood up, ”You're lucky that I didn't use a hammer or other tools to smash your bones into fragments. You may have suffered a small broken bone from your body that could be fixed, but Susu will suffer in the long term if we don't find out the drug's name. I'll give you one chance to redeem yourself. Give me the name of the drug.”
