Chapter 105 - Pills (1/2)

Tian Guo Min was in the middle of an executive meeting when Shen Wen called, so his assistant picked up on his behalf. Shen Wen frowned when she didn't reach her husband. She knew that he was holding an important meeting, but she was only asking for one minute to spare. Since he was busy, she didn't drag on the topic. Instead, she excused herself and hung up.

Before visiting the lab, Shen Wen made a call to a relative's son who works as a lab assistant to make sure that he was available to help her identify the pill. After confirming his availability, she rushed over to the hospital, where he took the zip lock bag from her and placed a label on it. Since it was a personal favor, he decided to inspect the pill right away.

While she waited outside in the waiting area, she watched as doctors and nurses walked in and out of the lab. For some reason, her heart was pounding loudly as if she had done something wrong and was about to get caught for it. She took out the empty medicine container and read the vitamin label on the sticker.

Coincidentally, Lily had just finished her business nearby and decided to drop by the hospital to give Lin Que a surprise. Since she told him that she was running errands around the area, he didn't expect her to finish before lunch time. She giggled and wore a face mask after exiting the elevator.

In the middle of texting, Lily recognized the familiar figure sitting in the seating area. In a split second, her eyes focused to her right as she casually walked pass the waiting room. 'That was definitely Tian Yuo's mother, Shen Wen. She was holding some receipt looking paper and a medicine container? ...hmm... If I don't look into this, my last name will be spelled backwards from now on!'

Using her special access card, she entered the lab and made a few turns to the security room where she asked the security to show her the footage for the past hour. 'She must be waiting for something, but what?'

When she saw Shen Wen and the lab assistant together, she asked the security to zoom in on the camera, ”thanks.” She snapped a quick picture and sent it to Lin Que. Right after her text was delivered to his side, she called him and asked him for the assistant's information. She knew that in order for anyone to work in the labs for Lin Que, they would have to pass through his interview. Therefore, he must remember even a little bit about this man.

Lin Que immediately gave her a name, ”That's Alan, the new lab assistant.”

”Thanks, babe. Where should he be right now?”

”I assigned him to lab number 3. Why?”

”Your cat is out of the box. Give you two minutes to get him out of there and stall his time for me.””

”How long?” Without any questions, he chuckled and asked how much time she needed him to delay Alan.

”15 minutes?” She sounded unsure how long it would take her.

”I'll make it half an hour.” He said and hung up.

She smiled and waited for Alan to get out of the lab so that she could sneak in without anyone finding out. Two minutes later, Alan rushed out of the lab towards the other side of the hall.

”Hehe, good job, darling.” She licked her lips and hurriedly entered the lab. The room had many files and tubes with chemicals in it. Lily was careful to not touch or knock anything over while being in there.

Quickly, she set a timer for 25 minutes to make sure that she doesn't lose track of time. While walking around the lab and looking through different files, she couldn't find anything related to Shen Wen. ”That's odd..wait. She's still outside right now, so that means either she is waiting for a report...or she's waiting for someone to write up a report. She had that container in her hand..hmmm”
