Chapter 66 - Because Youre a Yin (1/2)
Karen stuttered, ”I.. I don't know what you're talking about. Those were my personal savings from overseas. I was working and earning my way up from a company. That's right..”
”Oh? 500 million dollars from a small company that could barely afford to hire twenty-five employees could offer you such a competitive salary within a year? That's quite interesting. Shall we have a talk with the CEO from that company? I coincidentally have his number written down.”
Susu grabbed his phone and started dialing the numbers that he wrote down on a sticky note. Actually, the number that was on the sticky note were some random number codes for computer access use. They were simply playing a psychological trick on Karen's mind to make her confess.
Finally, under immense pressure, she gave in and her knees weakened, ”No!!! It was me. I got the money...from the family. I needed it to achieve my dreams. I was the one who took the large sum of money and wired it to a foreign account and paid someone to hide the transaction so that nobody would be able to track it.
Zin Leung looked at his second daughter in fiery, ”You did what?!! My billions of dollars were used on your boutique and all along I was praising and bragging about you to everyone I knew?!”
Susu fake yawned as she covered her mouth and fanned herself using her hand, ”Wow, it took you this long to figure it out? Bravo, CEO Yin. Very intelligent for someone who managed billions of dollars worth of contracts. Did that slap just now burn?”
Zin Leung's face changed from red to purple to pale as he realized his gravely mistake. 'No wonder it didn't made sense.' He thought to himself.
Of course, there was more to Karen's weaknesses, but killing her off in one shot wasn't thrilling enough. Susu wanted to do everything herself so when she faked dialed a number, she also typed a text that only he could read, ”After this, leave Karen alone. I'll deal with her myself in the near future.”
He rubbed her hand in response and would only sort out Yin Corporations case for today. Zin Leung slapped Karen across the face harshly, leaving five finger prints on both sides of her cheeks. He was even more infuriated when he remembered his wife's doing. She had told him that she found the culprit and it was the same as Karen's assumptions.
The more he thought about it, the worst he felt when he thought of how much he had to lose to realize this truth. He lost the one daughter who was truly loyal to him and now, the business. He's stuck with two sneaky rats, and his money is going down hills.
He hesitated, but still asked, hoping he could gain a small amount of sympathy for Susu to help him, ”Su...Susu.. Dad knows that he is wrong. Can you please come back to my side and help me with the company? Without the business, we'll live off the streets and would have no other place to go. We'll have to...”
Susu cut him off, ”Alright.”
He was so glad to hear her response, but she wasn't finished, ”One condition. If you could answer this question, then I will gladly throw in a few good words to see if my darling would listen to me.”
”Yes. Yes. Anything you ask.” He nodded with his hands nervously rubbed against each other.
”When's my birthday?” She asked this question before and asked once again to see if he even cared to look up her birthday after the dinner incident.
