'This Wendy Gomez' location is two hours away from my current position?'

Gio was driven by the masked man to the airport where the private plane was.

It was because even if he hastened as fast as he could to Sofony's best friend's location, so much time would be needed. He could only click his tongue in mild irritation and forego the idea since he would be going directly to Alina City anyways.

He was really anxious to death. This was why he decided to play violence with the underground people instead of wasting time catching up with his noble acquaintances of this country. The former would be at least a guaranteed and faster resolution since, for those people, strength was all that mattered. As long he receives their respect and make them see that he is an untouchable deity, it would be very easy to make them do his biddings.

Gio had no way of knowing that Wendy was only currently quite far from his location due to another host's meddling.

Ver Drilon was not aware of Gio's existence, but he was definitely aware of the existence of the black-masked people who were still hunting him and Wendy even after so long.

The system user didn't know if the leader of C Empire's hidden organization was purposely sending canon-fodders for him to kill, or intentionally sending disobedient and problematic members for Ver to weed out. But fed up with the threats going on for the girl he was quite fond of, he chose to just keep them away as much as possible from Wendy.

In short, Gio wouldn't be able to meet Sofony's best friend because people he had chosen to temporarily have under him were closely monitored by another host.

Steffy too was far away, on an educational field trip to another prefecture.

Time passed and Gio boarded the private plane borrowed for his exclusive use. As it tore through the clouds and unceasingly brought him nearer to his homeland, expectations and agitations reigned upon his heart.

By asking one of the underworld guys the current date, he learned that one and half years already passed.

How was Sofony faring? It had been so long. Was she doing okay?

The man really wanted to see her.

'Be patient.'

They should be able to meet after four or five hours, right?
