Gio was surprised. He never knew this girl was this insecure to even think of herself this low.

What personal what?

Why did she answer like this?

Or is this how she perceived their lovemaking before? Is this how he made it look like to her?

Fury rushed up to his head as he narrowed his eyes at her.

He was about to grab her by the chin to make her look at him.

However, this planned was not realized when she immediately and sadly followed up.

”...I don't know.Maybe your plaything? Some random girl you got interested with because of that mistake in the hotel?I'm sorry. Maybe, I just really don't know you.No, I don't really know you. That's why every time we do that, I feel like you are still a stranger... I don't know your real name, I don't know why you always appear to my humble house... when you're obviously rich and powerful.”

”I really don't know a thing about you, so you are a stranger... A stranger, you see? But I, I am a-actually repeatedly giving myself to a stranger.”

”Shut up!”

This was when his anger truly exploded as he roared. The girl, like a rabbit frightened by a lion's roar, froze in his embrace and didn't dare to move. She even covered up her mouth to not let out any noise. Her whole person just looked so pitiful. Much worse than any abandoned and wounded little animal in the world.

His pupil dilated at the sight. Gio realized he reacted very fiercely so he immediately said, this time the tone was very gentle and apologetic.

”...I'm sorry. I didn't know that I made you feel like that. Stop thinking like that. You're my girl.”

Sofony seemed to have been deafened by something when she heard that. Her eyes widened in disbelief. Her head tilted to his side as she instinctively wanted to see his expression.

”I know everything, even before you confessed,” he said. ”It's easy for me to investigate you. But does it all matter? The moment you appeared in front of my door that day, the moment you shared my bed, you are and will always be my girl.”

'You don't know, but I rarely left someone I had bedded alive. In fact, I think I never did. So far, the only exception is you. So you're my girl.'

He didn't say the latter since he knew not many women would be flattered by it.

”Sofony, I didn't know your inferiority complex is this troubling so even though it's never my cup of tea to explain, I think I would have to or else when we do it later, you'd still think you are having sex with a stranger.”

He smiled. She saw it. She couldn't exactly name what she's feeling, but one thing's for sure. Her heart was racing so fast.

'No... I'm feeling happy because he finally agreed to reveal who he is to me.'

Sofony nodded, ”Okay.”

Gio started the car and drove away from the mall. Along the way, he began talking about himself. Of course, Sofony already knew about him, she even knew things he left out in his introduction. He left out the part about his stepmother and mainly focused on himself and what he usually does. There was no mention why he didn't come to her yesterday and the day before that. But, it was okay, she enjoyed the talk. Funny that it took them two weeks, three weeks if the first meeting was counted, to reach this step. Still, her mind finally had the peace she was looking for amidst their strange relationship.

When she sighed in relief, Gio assumed it was because he finally opened up a bit to her, and was left with mixed feelings about his girl.

”Are you okay now?”

Sofony looked at him for a while before she nodded. ”Yes. Thank you.” She thanked him for letting some worries of her fly away. Her smile turned brighter and less forced due to this.

”Baby is always welcomed,” he amusedly replied.

Finally, the car stopped. Sofony was puzzled because they were not in front of her apartment. She quizzically glanced at Gio who merely smiled and then started pulling her outside of the parking area into a huge building. The signage read 'Golden Residences', she remembered that the place was one of the best condominiums in the whole Country F.

”Why did you bring me here? Do you have to stop by somewhere? You could have just left me in the car. I'm okay waiting there.”

Gio smiled and squeezed her soft hand, they boarded the elevator. Once it stopped, he led her into a big and luxurious unit and left her to sit on the sofa, in front of her there was a small table and further than that was a big TV set. She already guessed that they were now in his real house, probably one of his many houses.

The man laughingly put a disc on his player and turned on the screen. Sofony, who suddenly turned red all over, didn't know where she gets the courage, but she angrily threw the pillow she grabbed from the side. The man easily dodged it though.

”Y-you!!! T-turn that off! Why do you even have that kind of video with you!”

”Baby, enjoy watching first. Let me grab a few things first then I'll get back to you.”

”H-hey, leave the remote!”

The guy immediately disappeared into one of the rooms and left her helplessly not knowing what to do with the big screen featuring two naked bodies intertwined. Her face was red. She glanced left and right but curiosity gets the better of her so she finally watched the scene.
