232 6.26 Your Excellency, Yours Truly, Drago, Senpai, Young Master, Himura... Oh My (1/2)

”Everyone, on yourrrrrr feeettt, UP!” I commanded everyone like in a parade square during a defaulters parade, where everyone was facing 45 degrees to their left or right and was it in pushup position, awaiting the order to recover back to their positions.

”Ruff and Tuff, get over here. You are not our subjects so you won't follow their customs as it is. Fuuuuhhh... I just got a Decree from His Majesty and now I was made as a Town's Mayor. Its a good thing in a bad way, and a bad way in a good thing.”

As the twins sat at the table, ex-Mayor Asuwaipu Itsumo bowed and excused himself and this time he walked alone, leaving the Imperial Guards to be guarding me. I dismissed the guards as I don't see the need for them and after they had long gone, Hiko-sama slammed the table and left to his house without saying anything to me.

There's only Ruff and Nutt and Izumi was watching me at the meals table... Wringing her hands may be due to the chemical reaction or just plain itchy. The twins looked at me in bewilderment and don't know what to say next as things seemed rather off-key since their arrival.

”It's not your fault, guys. The news of me being the Town's Mayor came all of a sudden shock to me as well as my Sensei... Or my Senior as you might call. No worries, mingle around as you should be in Berk as I will discuss with someone about the Wind Tunnel you had recently experienced.”

”Alright Boss, there's some nice smelling soaps and hair shampoo and body lotion that we saw in the production lines as shown by your Plant Manager. Could we get some? It smells great and I'd like the hair shampoo that she recommends. Our long hair really would love to be washed and cared for.”

”Sure...just take whatever you need in moderation. If you take the body lotion, there's no need for you to take the body soap, vice versa... I hope you understand what it means. Grab a flower basket, and take what you need. Be our guest... Izumi, could you kindly guide our two guests to the production lines and pass them a basket each?”

”Yes, Your Excellency... I mean, Yours Truly... Himura....” she bowed and led the two of them to the production lines and receives a basket each from little Kaede for their shopping trip. Even Izumi got confused... How about the rest of the residents? Huuuaarrgghhhh.....!!

”Sensei...! Senseiiii....!! Please come out, I need to talk to you, right now... Please...!!” I called out to Hiko-sama and he came out hugging two jars of yumeshu and two cups and wobbled to sit in front of me. He hiccuped a few times and poured a cup for me and himself.

”Sensei... Please la. Wikipedia already states that your habit is drinking and no matter how much you drink, you won't get drunk. Please laaa... Stop fooling around. Is there something that you wanted to tell me? Please share it with me... I'm all ears and we might see what benefits of this Mayor thingy brings.”

”I don't want you to be controlled by someone that goes against your principle. You are not anyone's 'Yes-man', remember you stood up against the Mayor once and someone would also stand up against you. You would make unnecessary enemies and you would lose all your friends that had been through thick and thin.”

I jumped up from my seat and withdrew my Kodachi and point it skywards...”With this sword in my hands, I solemnly swear that I would uphold my words in this very sword... TRUST AND FRIENDSHIP...!!!” and suddenly a swirling Blue Flame entwined on my Kodachi like two dragons, as it slowly became bigger and curled upwards.

Their image became more solid and noticeable, while the two dragons roared in the sky and made parts of the town dark with its looming and menacing shadows. It let out huge rolling flames from their mouths and let out a shrill shriek before it swooped down back into the sword and turned my blade to shimmer like dragon scales.

”Eh...?! What happened? My Kodachi now looked like it had dragon scales on it... Could it be this Kodachi approved me being a Mayor and to lead the people from poverty?”
