218 6.12 The Improved Automation For Refined Steel Plates and Bricks. (1/2)
”Woohoo....!! Sensei... We did it...!! At last, everything is automated except to load the iron ores, coal and limestone... Wooooohoooo.....!! Steady boom peep peep... Hahahahaha!!”
I was so Goddamn happy to see the results and went over to hold the piece of Refined Steel plate that felt warm to touch and felt something like 40 degrees Celsius after going through the process of 2 cooling methods.
”Hahahaha... So we got more time for ourselves now. I wonder how many plates that we are going to achieve based on these 100 sacks of everything.”
I placed my hand on Sensei's shoulder and said, ”50 kilograms of 100 sacks is equal to 5 tonnes dead weight. We both had lifted 100 sacks of these on the conveyor belts and after each fill of reservoir, we may lose up to 10% due to slag and impurities. We would end up with 4.5 tonnes of Molten steel. Each plate weighs around 180-220 grams and we would have at least 2 over million plates.”
”So every 3 hours of real-time we would enter to pull the caged wagon out and place the empty wagon instead of handcart inside. Hahahha...sorry Sensei, I made a mistake before in calculating because of the decimal point. It wasn't 25,000 or 225,000 Refined Steel Plates but its gonna be like 2,250,000 plates altogether. Hehehehe... ”
”We need to clear the plates every 3 hours or so, or we would not be able to pull it out at all. Come, let's go watch the progress for the brick as well...”
I swiped the scene to the right and I showed the brick processing part. A pile of a hundred over bricks had lain there in the pit as we had merely used 3 handcarts full. The bricks were warm to the touch and had been bone dry after being inside the furnace of at least 3000 degrees Celcius for an hour.
I held one in my hand and it felt just right, the same way as it felt on my time. I dropped it on the floor and it just chipped a little at the sides, with no cracks whatsoever. Damn good brick...! This should be the next development stage after all.
I passed the brick to Hiko-sama and he held it to his nose. It was terrifically bone dry and he knew it would be a high-quality brick if it would be made into pottery. The surface was smooth and the colours were of light adobe.
”Kid, just these 3 loads of handcart can produce so much of these bricks? Show me how you going to lay them so I could relay it to the foreman and assign some men to me and we could lay the bricks in the order to prefer.”
I squatted down and began to lay the bricks the way I liked it to be. It was slanted at 45 degrees instead of laying it like straight across. It was fashioned in a way that it looked like it was thatched on the ground and Hiko-sama like the idea very much.
”The first thing is to mark out the ground right? To make it accessible in the day, the work would be done in the evenings, right up till morning. Let's say 6 pm to 6 am, a 12 hour night shift.”
”The pathway would be 6 meters across and it is going to be a straight line. So these people would dig the ground first and compile the mud, soil, sand, water, straw and pine needles first and send it to the Ops Room, right?”
”Next is to flatten the ground of 5 inches deep first, and use a monkey ramp to flatten it. Then lay a thin layer of porous sand on top before laying the bricks according to the design.”
