I looked and saw Riko was close to tears when she mentions this to everyone within earshot. At times like this, she didn't split her nonsense but made people realise that we did change the lives of the people around us. We provide them with a future.

I saw a messenger and passed a message for the brewery to send its sake to us and soon in 15 minutes time, it arrived. Even though it is still early for a drink, all the former samurai drank up solemnly and in a sombre manner.

I awoke everyone from their daydream because I can't mention stupor as it was an inappropriate word to use and planned for the events that would happen in the next few days.
”Tomorrow we would be heading to Midoriko's Cave to look at the limestone deposits by 8 am. Be lightly armoured and carry a cold weapon just in case. We would bring up 2 wagons tomorrow to get some limestone deposits and bring it back over.”
”Midoriko's Cave is near to a Youkai Taijiya Village somewhere in the region of Mount Otakine and I have a few people I would like to meet there as well.”

I excused myself to observe the progress of the buildings of the 3 warehouses. Them 30 workers had completed pouring the cement and was letting it cure for 8 to 12 hours. The water tower had been moved to the extreme corner of the lot and the same goes to the quad outhouses too.
There were water taps in each cubicle and 2 were squats and sitting water closets, while the doors had been installed with an engaged or vacant sign activated when the latch inside the cubicle was locked.
A bucket was available for every cubicle and a toilet paper dispenser was available for use before entering the cubicle. It had a high ceiling so that it won't be too stifling if it's in the summertime.
The foreman was still there observing that the workers did not use too much hardening agent like last time. The ground surrounding the premise had been dug a foot deep and was lined with 4mm rebars. The ground will be perfect in all weather conditions and a space of 6 wagons could be lined side by side.
The foreman informed me that the grounds outside would be worked in stages so that no one or other farm animals would accidentally step and make footprints in the wet cement. It would not be smoothened as it would be slippery when wet.
Since the warehouses were placed side by side to each other, the doors were installed on the ends and not on the broadside of it. The elevated venting roof was much higher than the last one and they had a drainage gutter system that was joined together and the rainwater could be collected at the water catchment near the water tower for washing or keeping koi inside.
I looked at the elevated staging areas and all were set higher by 4 foot than the former thus utilising more storage space underneath it. All 3 overhead booms were installed with a pulley system to boost goods to the elevated staging area.
The whole set up looks complete and the foreman told me that the planned cemented grounds outside would take only half a day to be dry and cured. Looking at the huge spaces available, it seemed I could employ more manpower to run the whole process.
A resting/meals area that was made up by parts of the house that was taken down had 6 long adjoining tables and 4 long benches running alongside it with a high roof. It was open-aired so the employees can take their breaks at the same time or in pairs for we have no restriction over it.
I was satisfied with the whole set up as I can't wait for it to be operational and fully-functional

I went over to the garden next door and sat there while poring over my sketchpad.
