32 2.9- Abduction! (1/2)
The door was suddenly opened up a crack and not a creak of sound was made. Two unknown intruders tiptoed their way onto the wooden boardwalk and approached the two beds; whom the occupants were not aware of what was going to happen next.
At the same moment, the intruders clamped a cloth over the mouth and nose of the occupants who were sleeping soundly on the bunk beds.
”Oommph... Ooommphhhh...!” I was shocked as a piece of damp cloth was covering my mouth and nose as I tried hard to scream with all my might to grab the attention of others who were sleeping next to our cottage. I flailed my arms and grabbed someone who was wearing a type of heavy materials on the body. My eyes went wide as I struggled in my bed and tried to stand up or kick the person who was doing this thing to me!!
A heavy kind of chemical smell was on the cloth that covered my mouth and nose. I was gripped in a kind of headlock and was unable to move much; albeit to scream and shout and claw at the intruder. I looked over to my side and found that Chikashi was also in the same position as me, headlocked with a piece of cloth over his nose and mouth. He too was struggling to be free from the headlock and suddenly his body went limp.
Before I was knocked unconscious, my eyes went dim and everything around me had a sort of swirling feeling. I tried futilely to scream but no words came out and lastly all my energy left me and I slumped back into my bed. Only then I realized the intruder had removed the cloth that was filled with chloroform and laid me down on my bed as if nothing had happened.
Chikashi and I were quickly bundled into a body bag each made of thick nylon type of material. A zipper was then pulled from the end of the body bag right to the top of the head. A small space between the ends of the zipper was left open to provide ventilation or else I would have suffocated a long time ago and unable to continue with this story.
Chikashi and I were unceremoniously carried out from our cottage and the door was softly closed; not to disturb the peace and tranquillity of those sleeping and untouched by the intruders.
God knows how many intruders were performing the deed that night as one by one, bundles of body bag that contained some of my classmates were carried out and dumped into a back of a vehicle, presumably a waiting van in the parking lot. A total of 12 body bags were stacked and it was a random act of kidnapping.
None of the students is from well known or filthy rich families. We are all consisted of average income families except for me of course, an orphan and works part-time to sustain and survive in this world. Neither the students were from tycoon families or from families with significant recognition in the society. But what is the purpose of this abduction?
*** Daybreak. 630am. ***
Chaotic scenes erupted at the campground as teachers and guides were shouting out the names of the missing students and were going from one cottage to another and even those visitors not belonging from the school were not spared as their privacy was invaded by the storming teachers and guides.
The missing students were discovered during one of the morning roll call to awaken the sleepyhead to prepare for breakfast and also to announce the rest of the itinerary for the day. However, the next following scene was the total opposite of order!
Frantic scenarios were enacted as teachers and guides were calling everyone to assemble to the main dining hall as they made a headcount for those who were present and those who weren't. Some teachers were searching for the cottages of the missing students but found nothing amiss.
They discovered that the camping equipment was not disturbed or any of the students intending to leave the campsite without any knowledge of the teachers. They were shocked beyond belief that something bad had happened to the missing students.
The teachers made a list of the missing students that they were in charge of. One of the teachers called the local police department and was told that a despatch would be arriving there in a short while. Meantime a teacher went to the Government Office Building to report of the uneventful happenings.
Park rangers arrived shortly and with their electric buggies, assisted the teachers and guides to several possible places in the enormous Shimizu Park Camping Ground.
A park ranger and a teacher drove to another part of the camping ground, then to Nodashi Total Park and next to Noda Comprehensive Park Swimming Pools but their searches remained futile.
Another park ranger and another teacher drove to Shinizukoen Field Athletics, Konjoin Buddhist Temple, Harizuka place of worship and Deva; yet another historical place. The same results were received.
Meanwhile, another Park ranger and yet another teacher drove their buggies to the main road despite it was against the law to do so and headed to the Seki Sakuranosatoten Pharmacy, an electronics store up ahead after the junction before heading to a shopping mall called Beisia Super Centre. But the results remained grim.
Meanwhile, at the campsite, 2 police cars arrived with 4 smartly dressed cops with an investigating officer. The investigation officer took a clipboard from the teacher who was currently unable to grip with the current situation. The investigation officer read through the names of the missing students.
