6 The Dominators Shield (1/2)
I then proceeded to look at the light that was emitted. The light was shining on the metallic bone-shaped dinosaur, however, the shadow of my bones were cast. It wasn't easy to see the shadow with all the light blinding my eye sockets, but when I did look at it, I realised that the light wasn't coming from me, but from behind me.
I looked through my broken rib cage and saw the source of the light; my shield. Good job shield-san! I knew you were special! But wait a minute, is the only thing special about this shield the fact that it shines?
Disrupting my thoughts, the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur tried to ram into me once more, however I dodged on time. After leaping away from where I stood and rolling considerably away from the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur, I tugged on the leather strap from a side until the shield fell on to the ground.
After picking up the shield on the floor and breaking another rib in the process, the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur did the one thing it could do. It tried to ram its metallic head in my body once more. ONCE FREAKIN' MORE. Does a bone-shaped metallic dinosaur not know how to do anything else?
While I was thinking this, the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur still hadn't covered the space between us. Man, I think fast for a brainless skeleton.
After drowning myself in self-confidence, I came back to reality and realised I had to do something to fight against this dungeon boss. My weapons were located in front of the gate, far away, to my left. Now, separated from my swords, I decided to dodge the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur again. I tumbled down on the ground at just the right time with my shield in hand. I did this as I realised that defending against the ramming bone-shaped metallic dinosaur with my shield would be hard. However, due to my broken bones my movement was a bit off. This caused my left hand to break off of my body as I rolled on the ground and the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur rushed towards another wall of the room.
The only thing I had now was my glowing shield. I stood up this time, determined to face the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur head-on.
'Dodging in my current state would only cause my bones to break further, and the only way I can possibly face this creature would be by enduring his attack with the help of my shield.' With this absurd thought, I firmly held the strap of the shield in my right hand and waited for the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur to approach me.
The bone-shaped metallic dinosaur faced me and rushed once again, while pointing its head towards me. I gripped the ground with my feet as tight as I could and braced myself.
As the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur rushed towards me, I could see the wind around it being pushed back. And like a meteor, it landed its head on my shield. However, as soon as it did, the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur stopped in its position. After touching the shield with its head, the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur fell sideways and drifted its body on the ground to lose all the momentum it had accumulated.
”What the heck happened? Why did the bone-shaped metallic dinosaur suddenly move away?”
And then, right at that very moment, the warped voice returned to say,

”Dominator's shield?! Now that's some next level creativity! But beyond all that, I now have a dungeon boss as a pet!!! What in the world is going on?? Will I ever be able to adapt to this fast progressing world? Huff.... I wonder.”
