45 Leinards Bedroom (1/2)
I hesitated near the threshold. Was this really Leinard's room I was seeing? I know he was from royalty, and having the mansion under his care, but the sight before me was quite extravagant.
I stood on a straight balcony of sorts with one wall made up entirely of polished redwood drawers and gla.s.s cased shelves that held neatly folded white linen within, and emitting a strong scent of pine and camphor.
The other side was open s.p.a.ce that looked down to a neatly made king-sized bed with a low polished black and gold trimmed bed head unit. It was situated aesthetically at the center.
I leaned on the gold wrought iron vine leaf bal.u.s.trade that stopped me from falling down to the smooth white-grey vein marble floor below. On the left corner of the room, I caught sight of a sitting area and writing desk surrounded by wall sized book shelves containing many leather bound tomes.
Towards the central wall (beyond the bed) were clear gla.s.s sliding doors, which displayed a picturesque view of a secluded rose garden, dense wisteria and evergreen trees that provided ample privacy.
My heart raced with a thought that Small Cap would love to roam around that quaint garden. I hoped Dionysus and the children were treating him well.
I glanced up to a slow changing scenery of illuminant green, orange and subdue white clouds with tiny fairy ball lights sailing about the surface to give a feeling of an evening sky. The ceiling light evoked a dreamy feeling to the room. It definitely felt like a place one could sleep in.
”You coming inside?” Leinard regarded me with his raised one-brow look.
My heart raced with panic. I was in his room. I met his grey eyes and gulped at his alluring mannerisms.
”On second thoughts, I think Trix might need me at the bar.” I inched backwards, feeling nervous about making a blunder.
I know Leinard was experienced with affairs of the heart and matters of body union, but I wasn't. I know that we had kissed and made love a few times now. Somehow, this felt different to those times. I felt extremely nervous.
