20 Ensign Ryuu (2/2)

”Ryuu. Is it time?” Saku cordially addressed the man, thinking nothing of the friendly peck to each cheek the burly man gave him.

”Aah Yes. Monsieur Smithsonian also asked me to fetch you and...”

”Well, that's an unexpected contrast.” I mumbled to Death.

I gulped when I realised Ryuu's glaring eyes were pointed my way. His expression lifted with delightful surprise.

”Oh my.” He blushed and turned away, hurrying down the library for a quick exit.

”Huh?” I frowned with a weird look on my face.

”That was Ensign Ryuu. My cousin. Trix's number one fan. This mansion's maintenance man and grounds keeper.” Ryoko indirectly introduced me to the man who was no longer in the room with us. ”See I told you he didn't disappear.”

”Okay.”

Saku prompted us out of the library. We followed his lead down the levels to the ground floor. We took a side door near the front entrance.
