Chapter 13

Glancing upwards the sun, Reiss black hair flattered as the rays of light dances along, it was sparkling and dazzling to the eyes. It’s painful to admit it but it’s really beautiful.

He adjusted his sword on his waist and walked towards my direction.

I thought that he would just by my sight but Reiss clearly stopped in front of the sitting area that I sat on.

「Wh, What do you want?」

Because I didn’t expect it, I let out a groaning voice.

Urr was the same as always, he gets his guard up whenever Reiss is around.「You came huh, black head! Don’t get close to Suu!」threatening him, his fur was standing out but, he can’t do that Urr, after all, this guy is my escort.

Since there is so much reaction from Urr, I thought 「Reiss seems to be someone who spirits dislike….well he have a terrible personality」, though as of now, it’s only Uur who particularly dislikes him, the other spirits around doesn’t seem to hate Reiss.

Why is it that it’s only Urr? Thinking about it, it seems like they just don’t have affinity.

「……You, you’re on break for tomorrow’s training right? 」(TL: Reiss calls Suria “omae お前” which is an informal way of pointing our someone, or rather kind of rude)

「Eh?」

I didn’t get what was he saying, staring at him, he repeated the same question in a hoa.r.s.e voice. And when I finally got what he meant, I answered stuttering..

「Y, Yeah, i, it’s on break」

「…………I see」

Then, a few moments, there’s only silence.

The s.p.a.ce between Reiss’ eyebrows wrinkled and his face made a distorted look that I haven’t seen before. Somehow his red eyes was shaking all around lost in thought.

The silence is kind of awkward, my sight fell on Reiss neck which I notice that have something like a jewel hanging from it.

It was somehow sparkling and whenever light makes it s.h.i.+ne, it changes its color into seven different colors. It is called『Spirit Mana Crystal』.

Before guiding us to our rooms few days ago, Roa handed it over to Reiss and said 「This is for Knight-sama from the High Priest-sama, desu」.

The crystal is especially crafted for special occasions.

Having this crystl that the high priest-sama especially chanelled his spirit mana directly into will make you able to see spirit even though one does not posses spirit mana.

In short, right now, Reiss can see Urr who is threatening him but he don’t have to worry about it anyway. Right now I’m just enjoying myself looking at these two.

It just, I was wondering, it should be the role of the Spirit Princess to lend spirit mana to the Knight Escort as the tradition is. Just like what I did with master, it should be me who lends mana to Reiss (though I don’t want to).

Why did High Priest-sama prepared himself『Spirit Mana Crystal』especially for Reiss. He even deliberately asked Roa-kun to hand it over, he seemed to have known nothing and was making a face that he didn’t also understand. If that’s so, I’ll ask the High Priest-sama later whom I haven’t met yet.

While I was lost in my own thoughts, Reiss finally opened his mouth.

「I…… tomorrow afternoon, I must go to town since I need to do somethhing there」

「Eh, ah, unn」

Somehow, he was telling me his schedule.

So, I wonder what is he trying to say. To go this far just to tell me, I’m perplexed.

That’s because you can just go to town by yourself. Even without escort, since I’ll just be staying here inside the church quitely, there shouldn’t be any problem even if the knight goes to town.
