Chapter 9

Since it would be a waste, I put the freshly made blueberry jam on the tea, mixed it by stirring and made blueberry tea. My cheeks slackened as the scent of sweet and sour was slowly spreading. I think that this tea that I brewed was much better than what I made before.

I served it to Uncle Allan and Rinze and both of them told me it was delicious.

Even though the bad atmosphere about Reiss is there, I felt a warm and relaxed myself a bit.

「Even though you will be leaving tomorrow. As I thought, it’s just too rushed. Since it’s just too rushed, I’ll help you prepare for tomorrow’s departure.」

「You don’t really have to do that.」

「No, though I have only one concern….」

While holding a cup on her hand, Rinze let out her disagreement by let a 「Ah」sound.

She then took out something from the bag nearby and dropped it on the table in front.

「What is this?」

What she took out is a wooden chest that was a little larger than my palms.

There was a golden outline on the edges of the chest making it look elegant. And the lid was decorated with a 『 bell 』that was entangled by ivy vines. It was a well made product that even those of amateurs would know how that it was made by a skilled craftsman.

「This a popular item from the capital that is called『Spirit’s Treasure Chest』」

「Spirit’s Treasure Chest?」

「Having permission from the church, the skilled craftsmen were asked by some popular Spirit Users, to carve the 『 Sacred Bell of the Spirit Queen 』. By placing your most treasured thing inside the box, the spirits grants blessings and good luck on it and is currently a very popular item in the capital. It was really a difficult item to put your hand on, luckily I got my brother give it to me as a souvenir.」

「Hee, indeed it is a well made carving.」

「Right? And if you place your accessories inside properly, you can even place that ribbon here. To tell you the truth, I was not really planning on coming on Suu’s house, I was intending to show the chest to others and placed it inside the bag…. I’ll give it to you Suu.」

「Eh!?」

My eyes widened being surprised.

Uncle Allan exclaimed in admiration, 「Ho—, as expected of Lotterea family’s daughter. So generous.」, I can’t just easily accept such an item after hearing those stories. A n.o.ble’s daughter from the capital normally owns lots of expensive jewellery, and even for men, it is used to gift their lovers such fine item for them to safekeep. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to obtain such expensive item.

Before I was able to refuse, Rinze immediately pushed it unto me.

「Isn’t it a perfect gift for Spirit Princess-sama? Take it as a good luck charm.」

「But, it was a gift Rinze received from her brother. I apologize. But there’s nothing I can place iside of it…..」

「It’s alright, I’ll tell Onii-sama that I gave it to my bestfriend Suu. It’s okay just to put it in your cabinet, for now, just take it.」

Being scared of the words, 「I’m already giving it for free you know?」, I didn’t have a choice but to accept it. Just the same as that time that I was crying and Rinze was pus.h.i.+ng the ribbon to me, I lose to her persistence.

When I took it from her gladly, her crimson lips upturned and her cheeks loosened.

Looking at the chest closely, it’s indeed a first-cla.s.s item.

The truth is Uur was staring at the chest intently since awhile ago but the two people in front of me haven’t noticed it since they can’t see spirits. While wiggling his fluffy water tail, he was muttering 「I wonder if I can place my favorite strawbery pie in it」, please stop such thoughts. It’ll just spoil.

「Well then, I guess I’ll taking my leave」
