Chapter 8 - Eating well

Seeing that the blood was flowing less and less, Wei Qing heaved a sigh of relief, ”The bleeding has finally stopped!”

The man nodded and lifted his hand to wipe the fine sweat from her forehead. When his gaze fell upon the scar on her face, he slightly frowned.

Wei Qing's body stiffened for a moment, then anxiously dodged.

”You are the Daughter of the Prime Minister Wei?”

Wei Qing was startled. Because of her shock, her eyes widened. She stabilized her emotions and asked: ”Who are you? An assassin should not be an ordinary assassin! ”

”You don't seem to be as bad as the rumors say.”

Wei Qing chuckled, ”Rumors usually don't believe it!”

”You are very interesting!”

Wei Qing smiled, ”No matter who you are, today I have helped you! As for how to repay me, you don't need to think about it, I … ”

Wei Qing looked drowsy as she looked at the dagger. The patterns on the dagger were very strange. It was just a scabbard, but it had already displayed the value of the dagger.

”I don't need it!”

”You can rely on this dagger to find me in the future!”

Wei Qing blinked her eyes at him in disbelief, ”Are you saying that in the future, I can use this dagger to find you for help anytime?”

The man nodded.

Wei Qing bit her lips, ”Is there really such a thing as' yes'?”

The man replied with an ”En”. Perhaps it was due to the effect of the medicine, but his originally tightly knitted eyebrows relaxed slightly.

”But where should I go to find you?”

She didn't even know who this man was, so how was she supposed to find him? Where can I go to find him?

The man closed his eyes and did not answer.

Wei Qing looked at him and sighed heavily. She looked at the dagger in her hand again and again before putting it into her sleeve.

Looking at the sky, it was no longer early. Her stomach made a loud rumbling sound. She went outside and found a few wild fruits.

He wiped his hands on his clothes and started to eat without a care in the world.

The man didn't fall asleep. Hearing her voice that sounded like a mouse grinding its teeth, he slowly opened his eyes.

Wei Qing's movements froze, ”You're awake?”

”Hungry?”

”Yes, but I only found a few wild fruits. Do you want to eat one?” Wei Qing said as she handed him a wild fruit.

The man's gaze was fixed on her hand, remaining motionless for a long time.

Wei Qing was unable to figure out his thoughts, ”I've already wiped the floor with my hands earlier!”

The man withdrew his gaze, took a deep breath, and stood up.

”Where are you going?”

The man pursed his lips. ”Wait here.”

Wei Qing blinked his eyes. Could it be that he wanted to go there to make things convenient?

Thinking of this, she sat back down and continued to eat the fruits.

Soon, the man returned with a pheasant.

Wei Qing's eyes widened as she anxiously rushed out of the cave. When her gaze landed on the man's abdomen, her face suddenly changed, ”I say, is there something wrong with your brain? It took you so much effort to stop your bleeding after receiving such a heavy injury. What are you showing off now that you're out there? ”
