38 Chapter 38: Dungeon - Part 3. (1/2)
Nero stayed back at a distance while they prepared and planned to attack the scorpion group. Due to them being so far away, the red scorpions didn't come to attack them. The group kept themselves alert; focused on the red scorpions.
Nero looked at Jana and asked her, \”Jana, how do you cast magic?\”
\”Hrm...\” Jana became thoughtful, after a few seconds, she responded to Nero's question. \”It's a matter of intention. Not much different than commanding a finger of your hand to move, or even increasing the grip of your hands. Sounds simple, right?! But it's really simple! It's hard to shape the magic in your favor, but if you're just going to manifest it; it's not hard.\”
\”En. I'll try.\” Nero managed to understand more or less what Jana explained to her. Closing her eyes, Nero concentrated and made a mental command, with the intention of manifesting light energy.
Since she was considered a light and shadow wizard by the hunter card, she should be able to do that, right?
She pointed her hand, with her palm open as a \”stop\” sign and light energy began to form in the palm of her hand. Sweating a little, since she had to make a lot of effort to get it done for the first time...
Jana looked at Nero in shock! She said it was easy, but could she do it on the first try? What's more, it was a considerable amount of light energy that she was forming, with no sign of stopping. That was amazing.
'This girl is a genius!' Jana thought.
Sweating more and more, Nero was feeling her mana run out. She opened her eyes and noticed a ball of light, the size of a coconut. She looked at Jana and hurriedly asked, \”How do I shoot this?\”
Jana immediately replied, \”Just imagine your breath leaving your mouth.\”
\”O-Okay!\” Nero nodded. She pointed her hand toward the elite red scorpion. Using her intent to drive out the energy ball, she shoots!
\”Booom!\”
\”...\”
\”...\”
\”...\”
\”...\”
An immense detonation of light energy almost blinded them. They attempted to get their bearings and call out to each other. They soon realized no one could hear, as their ears were still ringing. It took a few moments for everyone to acclimate to the piercing sensation in their ears.
