Chapter 1 - Are you blind (1/2)
Indeed.
It was a sky of perfect night velvet above the S city.
A sea of brilliant stars adorned the pristine darkness, similar to radiant pearls threading around a lady's collar to catch the attention of her lover. The low-hanging moon had displayed its full majesty, seemingly giving its blessings toward all the couples under heaven.
A splendid night that beckoned the birth of a love story; a romance between two unlikely personalities that should have been an impossibility. But such was destiny: unpredictable, mysterious, bitter, yet sweet…
Wide halls filled with glimmering chandeliers high above and polished floor down below. The place brought about a sense of undeniable eliteness, which was further strengthened by a full view of the city through the broad windows as its walls. Several tables and chairs were placed neatly around the hall, while waiters with amiable smiles stood by their position, ready to serve their patrons on prompt.
Ladies dressed in gorgeous attire were a common sight to behold, as well as how gentlemen in suits would bring their lover or business partners to have dinner in this place.
This was the VVIP floor of one of the best 5-stars hotels in the city, the Star Night Hotel. Rumour has it that not just any rich people can access this floor, at least not for those without a certain level of prestige.
Currently, a lady was wobbling her way down a long hallway. She had long black hair, reaching down the exposed part of her back. The dress she wore was simple yet stylish, a skin-tight pastel blue which accentuated her curvy figure.
A pity that her face was that of an ill patient at the moment, which otherwise has the power to seduce any man with just her smile.
Having had one too many drinks, Sara felt that her head had turned into a pile of indescribable mush. It was a good thing that she still remembered how to walk, albeit not without her hand using the wall to support her. In short, she felt like a pile of shit.
”Damn that old man,” she cursed under her breath.
Just a few minutes ago, she had attended a dinner with one of her great investors, Mr. Ray of the Ray Group. This 60-years-old man had supported her extensively ever since her company was still a start-up, hence, he had been a major shareholder ever since.
