ASHER'S POINT OF VIEW

I quickly caught Scarlette and lifted her up after she lost consciousness. I opened the circle portal in front of us using my mind. We entered it and started walking in the foggy place. After several minutes, I saw the ending portal which brought us to the front of our school's opened gate.

”Good afternoon, Sir!” I greeted the guard while smiling.

The guard didn't respond nor smiled. He just looked at me blankly. He also didn't ask why I was lifting Scarlette.

”Uh, Sir, are you fine?” I asked.

I thought he wasn't going to answer but he nodded. I just smiled again and entered the gate.

As I walked away from where he was standing, I felt something weird. I glanced at him and there . . . I noticed that there was really something odd.

The guard's eyes turned into pure black in a split of seconds and back to normal. And suddenly, he devilishly smirked and said, ”You're doomed.”

It took me seconds before those words sunk in my mind. I looked around and my hunch was confirmed when I saw the students were smirking while looking at us. In a split of seconds, their eyes turned black then back to normal. Damn it!

I looked at Scarlette. ”Hey, wake up,” I whispered. I even shouted in her mind but still, she seemed not to hear it. ”Crap, we're in danger. Wake up, will you?”

I asked the demons inside the guard and the students, ”What do you want from us? Answer me!” They didn't reply. They just smiled.

Damn it! What am I going to do now?

I just ran into one of the empty classrooms. They followed us! I carefully brought down Scarlette on one of the chairs and locked the door. I was panicking!

'Aunt Er, help us! They started moving!' I said mentally, wishing that Aunt Er could hear it.

”Damn it! They're already creating chaos!” I cussed when I felt Scarlette woke up.

The students wanted to get in. They're acting wild.

She was shocked because of what's happening. ”Crap! What's happening, Asher?!”

”I don't know! But there's only one thing that I know, they started moving.”

I bit my lower lip as we stepped backward when we felt that the door was already breaking. I gave Scarlette a meaningful look and she seemed to understand.

”How? I don't know to control my powers yet!” She's trembling in fear and nervousness.

”Just remember what your Mom told you. You can do it.”

We readied ourselves.

When the door finally broke and they got in, I immediately used my powers. There were big vines appeared from the floor around me and attacked those students. Each of them was hit in their chest.

But some of them went inside and they attacked Scarlette. She was panicking but luckily, she made fire and controlled it successfully. And yes, she's brutally killing again. Take note: she's smiling like hell. Same attitude like her Mom.

She's continuously making balls and blades of fire and hitting her opponents. She even made someone swallow the ball of fire!

We were breathing heavily after an hour of battling. And yet, there were still lots of them!

”Damn! I'm tired!” Scarlette shouted in annoyance.

Corpses and blood were scattered in the whole room. Our uniforms were also covered with blood stains.

While fighting, I felt that strange presence. The presence of that someone who's spying at Scarlette that time before the midnight wherein I was attacked by demons.

I roamed my eyes around and I saw somebody, wearing a cloak in the third floor at the building outside, looking at our direction. Even he's far, I know that he's a she because of the red color on her lips.
