Chapter 1433 (1/2)
At 10 p.m., in a hotel less than a kilometer from K Street in Washington, D.C., Jacob wood, carrying his briefcase, hurried through, stepped out of the elevator and left the elegant hall.
His face was rather haggard, and he had hardly closed his eyes since yesterday. The phone calls to his cell phone one by one, and they all come from a lot. Out of helplessness and panic, he turned off his mobile phone, fled his apartment and hid in the hotel.
He didn't understand why those people had found themselves and why they were not others.
His work, his career, his family, his relationships, because of that report, were all destroyed. There is no doubt that he has been involved in a political storm. However, according to his previous experience, once such professions as journalists, private detectives, hackers, etc. are involved in the political turmoil, they will always end up miserable.
However, what he did not understand was that it was just a painless report. Did these people react so much?
Originally he planned to stay here for a few more days, but after going out to do something at noon, he found that someone had come to his room and found a bug on the bedside table. Obviously, Washington couldn't stay any longer. He decided to go to Colorado to join his brother and stay there for a while until the limelight was over.
A Ford pulled up on the side of the road.
The driver's door opened and a man in a flat headed suit came down and walked straight to wood.
”Hello, are you Mr. Jacob wood?”
A polite question came from the front, and wood subconsciously wanted to answer yes, but soon regained consciousness, lowered his head slightly, and said in a low voice.
”No, you have the wrong person.”
”Is it?” The man looked around, took a picture out of his arms and glanced at wood with a smile.
The person who looks at them is quite uncomfortable, especially the behavior of taking out photos in person. Just as wood frowned and was about to get angry, two strong black men in suits stood behind him, blocking all his retreats.
A cold sweat fell from his forehead. At the same time, a deep voice sounded behind him.
”I advise you to be honest. We still have room for discussion.”
Wood shuddered as he listened to the crackle coming out of his fist.
”What do you want?”
”Nothing, just want to talk to you,” the man in suit said with a smile. ”If you don't want to have some unpleasant situation, you'd better follow us in the car --”
before the voice dropped, a Hummer suddenly came out of the corner.
Two bright lights turned on, and the Hummer came straight to this side with the harsh friction sound.
Without any hesitation, the man in suit jumped to one side, and two black men ran to both sides with their eyes covered. As for Jacob wood, who had been surrounded by them before, no one paid any attention.
It doesn't matter to them whether wood is dead or not.
It's good to be able to control them and help them continue their work, but if they die like this, there are other articles to do.
However, the seemingly out of control Hummer did not hit wood as the man in suit thought, but suddenly turned a corner and hit one of the black bodyguards.
