Chapter 138 Ye’S Qian’S Dilemma (2/2)
After watching Ye Qian and Mo Long leave the Jinbi Huihang, the young woman who had been in the top floor office the whole time called Shangguan Fei Yun over and said, “Go investigate that guy’s background for me. The more detailed the better.”
Shangguan Fei Yun accepted the order and turned around and left.
The young woman walked to the window and sighed deeply and said, “Ye Qian, ah, Ye Qian. What are you thinking?”
After leaving the Jinbi Huihang, Ye Qian and Mo Long went to see Jack. Jack had moved out of the office provided by the Clear Sky Conglomerate. Now he was renting a new s.p.a.ce for official use of the security company. The security company was temporarily named “Ironblood.” Even though they hadn’t officially started yet, they had hired some fundamental employees already.
Ye Qian and Jack discussed some plans related to the operations of the security company as well as some plans for the expansion of the Wolf Fang. Afterwards, he left the office. Ye Qian’s current dilemma was what Qin Yue spoke about. He sincerely wanted the Qing Gang and Hongmen to fight, the fiercer the better. But he was also thinking whether or not it was possible to do what Qin Yue said, to bring the Qing Gang and Hongmen together once again. Of course this method was much harder, but the benefits were also much greater. Ye Qian wasn’t of formally established in China yet, and he knew too little about the Qing Gang and Hongmen, so he was still quite restricted in the things he wanted to do. He wasn’t too worried about the Hongmen, after all Qin Yue was there. If the Wolf Fang wanted to make an alliance with them it would not be a problem. But what about the Qing Gang? Ye Qian didn’t even know who the people steering that s.h.i.+p were. So bringing the Qing Gang and Hongmen together was unspeakable.
Ye Qian felt his head hurting. He shook his head to shake away all these complicated matters. Then he raised his wrist to check the time. Since he still hadn’t thought of a concrete plan of action, he should first probe out how the Qing Gang would react, then consider it after.
It was almost five o’clock. Ye Qian directly went to the mall. He still had to go to Ji Meng Qing’s daughter’s birthday party tonight, it was inexcusable to not bring a present.
Ye Qian didn’t know what little kids liked, he couldn’t remember what kind of toys he liked as a kid either. So he bought a random doll, and some chocolates. Then he hurriedly went to Ji Meng Qing’s house.
Ji Meng Qing was currently happily preparing dinner. Knowing that Ye Qian was coming tonight made her really happy. Ji Meng Qing still wasn’t sure about how she felt towards Ye Qian, whether it was just grat.i.tude or more than that. Beng Beng was playing with her toys happily in the living room. Kids were kids after all, they had no worries.
When she heard the doorbell ring, Ji Meng Qing got a little shaken, she called out, “Coming!” Then with an att.i.tude of getting it over with, she left the kitchen, wiping her forehead. “You’re here?” Ji Meng Qing said as she opened the door, a happy smile on her face.
But in the moment that Ji Meng Qing opened the door she instantly froze. The person in the door wasn’t Ye Qian, but her ex-husband, Zhang Jian. Ji Meng Qing’s smile disappeared and her expression became cold. She said enthusiastically, “Why are you here?”
“Today is Beng Beng’s birthday, how can her father not come?” Zhang Jian said as he pushed the door open and directly went in.
Ji Meng Qing disdainfully groaned and said, “Now you know you’re her dad? In the past why did you never act like a father to her? Zhang Jian, please leave. You are not welcome here.”
