Part 13 (1/2)
”Kenny's been talking him up, hasn't he?” Drew laughed at him.
”Well, I guess.” Marshall looked guilty. ”Your cooking is super, Drew.”
”It's okay, Marshall. I know I cook different things than Robert does, so we're about even.”
”Time to get cleaned up,” Marshall suggested. ”I don't want to hold up supper.”
”Is food all he thinks about?” Drew laughed.
”Nope, I think of other things, if you know what I mean.”
Drew felt her face heat up and hurried up the stairs to grab the bathroom. They could shower in the other one for that.
Jeb cornered Kenny in the kitchen talking to Robert.
”I don't mean to interrupt, but, Kenny, I need to talk to you for a minute.”
”Sure.” He turned to Robert and said, ”I'll be back.”
”Take your time. I'm not going anywhere.” He turned back around to the stove.
”What's up?” Kenny asked.
Jeb relayed the news about the cow and needing to bring the rest of the herd closer to the house in the morning before the snow set in good.
”That's a good idea. I'll go out and check the cow after supper. If it's on the outside of his skull and just under the skin, we might be able to dig it out and dose him up on antibiotics we keep here.”
”Ever dug anything out of a cow before?” Jeb asked.
”Yeah, it's not fun. They fight it. We'll have to tie him up pretty d.a.m.n good.”
”I'm not looking forward to that one bit.”
He left Kenny to see about Drew. She was probably in the shower. He thought he would dry her off, but when he got upstairs, her door was locked. Now what is that all about? He knocked on the door but got no response. She was probably still in the shower. He wandered over to his room and waited for Marshall to get out of the shower.
He didn't have long to wait. His friend walked in with a towel wrapped around his waist. Jeb turned away and busied himself changing s.h.i.+ts. He could hear Marshall drying off and dressing.
”You say anything to Drew to p.i.s.s her off?” he finally asked.
”Not really. I embarra.s.sed her some, but it was all in jest. Why?”
”She locked the bedroom door.”
”She's pouting,” Marshall said with a smile. ”She enjoyed that spanking yesterday. Maybe it's her way of asking for another one.”
”Maybe.” Jeb wasn't so sure.
”Is something bothering you, Jeb?” Marshall walked over to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
”Nothing different than always. Now I'm thinking about settling down because we have a real chance with earning our wages and maybe getting some of the profits on the sales, too.”
”We'll get our own place, Jeb. Just don't give up on it.”
”I wish we had a chance with Drew. I ain't ever wanted something to work out as much as I do this.”
”I still think we do. She's comfortable around us and wants us as much as we want her. It's a start.” Marshall headed for the door. ”Come on. I don't want to be late for supper.”
Jeb followed Marshall downstairs, resisting the urge to check Drew's door again. She'd be downstairs for supper for sure.
Sure enough, when they got down there, Drew was already at the table waiting on them. Kenny helped Robert serve. They looked more relaxed than Jeb had seen them. Maybe they were more comfortable around them now.
After supper, they all settled in the living room to check out the weather. Kenny excused himself to check on the cow. Robert went with him. Jeb didn't expect them back any time soon. They had that look about them. He smiled. It was good to see Kenny looking happy.
The weather station predicted a blizzard over the next two to three days. The news wasn't good as far as Jeb was concerned. They'd have to really watch the cattle. They'd need extra hay and the water heaters on. There would be a lot to take care of. At least maybe their problems with whoever had it in for Drew would be stuck. They wouldn't be able to hurt anything for a few days. There was an upside to it.
”What are we not thinking of to get ready?” Drew asked with a worried look on her face.
”I think we've thought of about everything, Drew. Stop worrying.” Marshall squeezed her hand. ”Try to relax. Our stalker won't be able to get out, either.”
Jeb chuckled. He'd just been thinking about that. He and Marshall had always shared the same thoughts.
”Do you think Kenny and Robert are okay? They've been out there for a long time.” Drew turned to look out the window.
”Drew, baby. They haven't been together in a long time. I expect they are getting reacquainted,” Jeb told her.
”Oh! I hadn't thought about that. Surely they could do that upstairs instead of out in the cold.”
”Well, I'm sure they'll stay warm.” Marshall chuckled. ”In fact, I was thinking of going on up to bed myself. What about you, Jeb?”
”Sounds like a plan to me. Come on, Drew. Let's call it a night. We've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow getting the cattle in closer to the house.”
”Something tells me you aren't thinking about sleep right away,” Drew mused.
”Well, you never know what will come up,” Jeb pointed out.
”Come on up to bed.” Marshall grabbed her hand and pulled her up from the couch with him.
Jeb followed them to the stairs and hung back to watch Drew's tight a.s.s sway as she walked up the stairs. He grinned. He bet Marshall would get that hot a.s.s tonight. He would take her sweet p.u.s.s.y. He couldn't wait to sink his c.o.c.k in it.
Once in the bedroom, he closed and locked the door. He began to strip right along with Marshall, but Drew hung back, watching them.
”What is it, baby?” Marshall asked as he stripped out of his jeans.
”I'm just watching you. I haven't really gotten to see you in all your glory.”
