”I don' think the Crown Prince could ever do that to my brother???”

Mu Lingxi had never seen the Crown Prince personally ever since her transmigration.

But from how she could remember it, the Crown Prince and his Brother Gaoyan used to be really close buddies.

They have been into a lot of things together.

Fought wars after wars to protect the Kingdom of Long side by side like good comrades they were.

So how could he be a suspect??

”Why??  Was it because you were still deeply infatuated with the Crown Prince? Mu Lingxi, just because you had a little crush on him, does not mean that he can not be a bad guy, okay?? Are you not over him yet???”

Out of the blue, Mu Yanxiao threw her cousin an out of the box question.

”It is not about me not getting over with my feelings to anyone. Besides, if my memory is not failing me yet, between the two of us it was actually you who was dying to marry the Crown  Prince, right?? So if I may ask, my dear cousin, why are you now turning your back on your prince charming?? Was it because she refused to accept you as his crown princess anymore?”

Mu Lingxi asked Mu Yanxiao with a scoffed.

She even addressed Mu Yanxiao the same way that the other party used to call her, which was clearly meant to mock her.

”Oh, c'mon we both know that should have never happened in the first place. Because apparently, if it was not for someone who ruined that perfect little dream of mine, the crown prince would have never backed out on our suppose engagement.”

There was a clear sign of bitterness in Mu Yanxiao's voice when she said that, despite how hard she tried to hide it with her sweet smile.

”Ohh really?? Is that what you told yourself every night??? You were putting the blame in me as to why the Crown Prince did not want to marry you, anymore. Do you honestly think that the title of the Crown Princess should have been yours already if only I did not mess up my own engagement? Is that what you think???”

Mu Lingxi cooed trying to get under Mu Yanxiao's nerves

”HAHA! Funny, Mu Lingxi. But you know what? Here is what I think. I think that you are being in denial. You don't want to accept the fact that the Crown Prince might be actually involved in your Brother Gaoyan's disappearance because the crown prince was the older brother of your soon to be husband, Long Fuzi. What now, are you really planning to rekindle your first sweet love with Prince Long Fuzi and get married to him eventually???”

”First things first. It was none of your business, whom I will marry in the future. And lastly, it is not because he was Long Fuzi's older brother, that I am protecting the Crown Prince. I just simply don't want to jump into conclusion right away. Just because someone told me a piece of news. But thanks anyway for your information, that might prove to be helpful to me. I promise that I would look through it in the future. Now, if you would excuse me, I really have to go now. Because if you were not aware, I was actually on my way to meet someone and they were probably waiting for me already. I really could not entertain you anymore. Bye now!”

Mu Lingxi said hurriedly to dismissed Mu Yanxiao, and without waiting for her response, Mu Lingxi made her way towards her original appointment for that night.

When Mu Lingxi arrived at the meeting place. she was surprised to see familiar faces.

At the same time, a table was also surrounded by flowers since they were currently in the middle of the Pixie Yard.

It was also worth mentioning that their table was set amidst the sea of fireflies which made the place looked more magical.

It was as if, the dinner meeting was actually meant to be some sort of a romantic set up.
