When Aiden was reminded about the date, he just blinked an eye. But of course, he did not voice out what he was thinking.

Just like Christmas and any other occasions, it seemed that they all just sneaked up in him every year ever since his mother passed away

He no longer worries himself about the dates since there is no difference to what was to him every day, anyway.

”No, I don't have any exciting plans tonight. But I might watch a scary movie or something....”

'So what??? What's wrong about spending Halloween alone with a movie marathon and ice cream at hand??'

Aiden could only hope that Clark and the others will start forgetting that he was there and just continue to talk to themselves just like what they usually do.

So he can sneak back to his station and escaped them.

But that is not the case as another one of his workmates asked him.

”So, do you have a girlfriend, Aiden?”

Clark suddenly burst out laughing.

”Oh good Lord no! I have never seen him with a girl before. I bet he is still a virgin! HAHAHA”

'Things was going bad to worse now...'

He whispered to himself.

Aiden could feel now that his cheeks were starting to turn bright red. He began to silently pray for the horrible gray carpet to open up and swallow him.

”Nope. I don't have a girlfriend at the moment..”

Aiden replied awkwardly.

Joey smiled sadly at him and said,

”That is such a shame. You know dude, with a bit of hairstyling and a good outfit. I bet you would look really nice.”

'Err.. was that a compliment or an insult?'

Before Aden could have a chance to reply, Clark once again waded into conversation with the tact as a bull in a china shop.

”That is one thing that I could never understand about you, Aiden. You always prefer going out looking like that. How are you going to attract some babes and chicks if you will continue being like

that?”

'Babe and chicks??? No thanks, I don't have plans to start a poultry business yet..'

That is what Aiden wanted to say but of course, he decided otherwise.

Instead, he stands up and said.

”Okay now, why don't we start preparing our station now instead of focusing on my nonexistent love life?”

But Clark pulled him back to his seat before he could even getaway.

”No, we should focus on fixing your nonexistent love life. I think you need to be corrupted, Aiden Jones”

”I certainly wish not to be corrupted”

Aiden said sheepishly.

”I think you do, and I know just how. Tonight we are going to a frat house Halloween party and you are going to come with us.”

Clark declared without waiting for Aiden's consent.
