Chapter 279 - MU LINGXIS DREAM (1/2)

The next day, Mu Lingxi and her friends resume attending their classes just like what they usually do before.

It continued like that until another week had passed in their lives without them even noticing it.

Just like usual, Mu Lingxi is also working on her part-time job at the Zodiac Arena every after class.

Until one night while everyone was sleeping soundly, Mu Lingxi suddenly bolted upright in her bed. There was panic in her eyes and beads of sweat were forming in her forehead.

She was also drenched with her own sweat and was panting heavily as if she just run three full lapses.

Mu Lingxi sat up at the edge of her bed and tried to calm down her heart that was also beating furiously.

She had the same nightmare that she had been having since they left the Sanguine Tundra.

Mu Lingxi keeps on dreaming about the lady the was trapped inside the ancient chalice.

On her dream, she will always saw the same scene that happened in the Sanguine Tundra when the ancient chalice was accidentally opened.

She dreamt about how the cloud of smoke drifted in the area as more flowing blood-like substance entered the chalice.

She also keeps on dreaming about how that same smoke slowly turned into a human form. As a silhouette of a woman started to bleed in the smoke.

The group already forgot how the lady that was trapped inside the chalice exactly looked like. Since the other party basically looked like nothing but a hologram before when they first saw her.

But during her sleep, Mu Lingxi can't help but notice that the feature of that mysterious lady was becoming more and more pronounced on her dream.

Each night that the lady appears on her dream, it appears to become more solid than before.

Inside her dreams, Mu Lingxi also kept on hearing the exact same words that the lady said before she passed out back in the Sanguine Tundra.

”Help me... Help me.... Help me....”

The lady keeps on calling out for help.

Her voice sounded weak and hoarse as if she had been deprived of water for a very long time now.

The sound of the other party's voice keeps on ringing inside Mu Lingxi's head during her sleep.

In her dream, Mu Lingxi always finds herself standing before the cloud of smoke and the only sound that she could hear in the background is the other party's plea, asking for help.

It was like a broken record that was played in a loop to serve as a background sound in her dreams.

Her dreams always went on like that, and it will only stop once she wakes up in the morning.

Mu Lingxi did not find it weird before.

Although Mu Lingxi was having the same dream almost every night, she did not pay it any heed and thought to herself that it just nothing but a weird dream

That is why she never told her friends about it yet.

Janus was the only one who knew about this recurrent dream that she was having.

Mu Lingxi attributed this dream that she was having to the encounter that she had with the lady at the Sanguine Tundra where she almost touched her. Maybe it was because of that.
