Chan Gu asked his friends discreetly when they were already out from earshot. They were now currently walking in one of the hallways.
”What else should we do then?? It is not as if he will change his mind if we try to remain here.”
It was Yun Xue who answered Chan Gu's question. His brows were puckered into a frown as he spat those words out from his gritted teeth
He also doesn't wish to return empty-handed but it is not as if they have any other options aside from that as of the moment.
”Did I blow it up???? Haist!!! why it doesn't work???? I just simply copy my father's action. That is what he exactly does whenever someone is going against him. It will always work his way after he does that. Why is that Clan Head cant just go along with the script??!!!!”
”Well, you just threatened him and throw taunting words straight to his face. That's all, nothing much. It is definitely not something to fuss over.”
Mu Lingxi said in sarcasm.
She almost wanted to do a facepalm right at that moment. She cant believe that she allowed herself to be deceived by Long Yue's words and acting back there.
She almost thought that Long Yue could actually act cool and be matured on his own at that time. To think that it was just all an act of playing cool and all Long Yue was trying to do is imitate his father. Hoping that it will be enough to intimidate the clan head by copying his father's action.

Long Yue really did not expect his words to have a negative effect. As far as he knows, threats ultimately work its way to getting most of the people to talk.
Besides, he believed that what he said is not entirely wrong. It was indeed a fact that the Mu Clan is indebted to them.
Not just for the mercy of the royal family, but most importantly to his brother Long Fuzi's support. Without his brother's intervention before, the Mu Clan would have been annexed by other powerful families in the court by now, or worst reduced to nothing.

If there is someone who wanted for this task to be done, there is no doubt that it would be Long Yue.
After all, this is not just about a mere school mission for him. This is all for the sake of his closest confidant, Luna.
The reason why they were looking for the whereabouts of the apprentice necromancer is all for the welfare of her cat, Luna.
A cat she may have been. But Long Yue sees her not just a cat but a family member. A close family member. So he as willing to do everything just to ensure that he would be able to save Luna.
As such he wanted to complete this task more than anyone else.
”If I were in that same situation back there, I would probably do the same thing that you did. I will also use threats to intimidate the other party. But I don't think that we have to blow this out of the proportion and go to such length like making those threats true just to accomplish our goal.”
Fan Lei said to support Long Yue but at the same time to tone down his friend's crook ideals.
It is not entirely wrong for him to use threats to force the other party to cooperate. But not to the point that they will actually harm anyone. That will be an entirely different story.
Disregarding other's welfare just to achieve one's goal is definitely not the right thing to do. No matter what kind of reason one has.
”Don't worry, we can always think of other ways to accomplish this. We still have time. There will always be another way. We just have to make a good plan.”
Long Fuzi said to boost the morale of the group.
In the meantime, the group decided to head back to the royal palace and there to discuss what they will be going to next.
They already expected this outcome anyways. So they were not totally shaken when they did not achieve their goal right away.
