210 TROLLS (2/2)
Playing games is where I have a knack
In the game of cards, be prepared to be knocked”
The red hair Troll agreed to Molly's proposal right away. The only problem is that Molly did not have any games in mind.
She just said those words for the sake of accomplishing the task given to them
She was just blurting out the rhyming words that come to her mind in a whim. She does not mean anything of it at all.
Well, she will just worry about it later. At least, for now, she already passed their class activity.
Meanwhile, more and more students were starting to try out their luck as they all transform into a poet wannabe.
They all spoke in rhymes, that sometimes they were just saying any words that come to their mind as long as they have a rhyming sounds.
As a result, many of them were still not able to have a proper exchange of words with the trolls present in that underground chamber.
Trying her luck, Mu Lingxi also approached the troll nearest to her.
”Hi, my little friend over there, you look so dear.
So far, how was your life down here?
What do you usually do?
Can you tell me about it, too???”
Mu Lingxi asked the question that she was most curious about at that time. But surprisingly, the words turn out to be rhyming as well.
It just came out of her naturally, without her even trying. It was like she was just talking casually to the Troll. Her words were not forced and it was devoid of any deception. It all sounds pure and sincere.
As such, when the Troll heard what she said, it was delighted. Just a while ago, it was feeling a little bit annoyed by how the students were taking them lightly.
It was like they see their speaking manner as a joke. Some were even using words just for the sake of rhyming it.
They don't sincerely want to speak with them. They were all just doing it for the sake of passing the activity.
The trolls will be lying if they will say that they don't feel offended or upset about it. If not for Teacher Wei's instruction of going easy with the students, they will never talk to them.
That is why, when the troll heard Mu Lingxi, it was pleased to talk to her and they started to have an exchange of a few more words.
”Little girl, you've got a knack for speaking... By any chance, are you a poet or something?”
The troll asked with an excited gleam on his eyes. The corner of his mouth quirked up as he looked at Mu Lingxi.
”No, I'm not. I am certainly not one... I'm a sorceress and I work with a wand”
”Oh I see, that makes sense... By the way, my name is Cents.”
”Su Yan here, nice to meet you... I hope to see you in the future too.”
Mu Lingxi had a nice chat with the Troll named Cents. Teacher Wei who was silently observing his students in the corner also saw this.
He nodded his head with a smile when his and Mu Lingxi's eyes met.
After a couple of hours, Teacher Wei called his students into a huddle. Signaling the end of today's class.
Most of the students were able to pass the activity but there were still some who did not manage to complete the task.
Teacher Wei and the rest of the class bid their goodbye to the Trolls. When the class left the underground chamber, the Trolls return back on their original location which is the branch of the Banian Tree.
They started singing a joyful song and some were humming the merry tune. They all sway and tap their feet to the beat of the music.
The harmonious singing, humming, and tapping of the Trolls created a beautiful melody and this sound filled the empty and vast underground chamber.
