Mu Lingxi said to her cat, but her body tensed up as well as she started to feel wary towards her surroundings.

Mu Lingxi can't help but compare their current predicament from being stalked. This was just like exactly what happened to her back in her college days.

She was on her way to a convenience store during that time when a perverted man followed her secretly. It scared the hell out of her back then big time!

Thankfully, on her way, she managed to meet a police enforcer patrolling the area that night and it escorted her back to their college dormitory.

From then on, she hardly went outside alone, especially at night. Who knows that she will be going to experience this same kind of feeling after being transmigrated to a different world?

The master and cat duo continued to move forward in caution. This time, they really cannot shake the feeling that someone was following behind them.

But every time they looked back, no one was there. As a result, they started to walk faster and it did not take long for their casual walk to end up in a sprint.

A cold sweat broke out all over their body as they scurry their way out of that dark place.

The master and cat duo walked another couple of meters, taking a few turns but to no avail. They have already walked through quite a few closed stores but they still feel like being followed.

And as if the situation won't get any better, for some reason they started to notice that it was like the usually busy place of Majika, becomes empty for that specific night.

So far, they have not yet meet any single person along their way. This realization only furthers Mu Lingxi's and Janu's suspicion.

There is definitely something amiss about this situation.

Instead of running away, they decided to face whoever following them head-on. So Mu Lingxi and Janus stopped on their tracks and turned around.

”Who are you??! Show yourself!”

Another five breaths had passed but they did not get any response. The place was still silent and empty as ever.

”Are we just overreacting???”

Mu Lingxi asked her cat in doubt.

”MEOW”

[Yeah, I think so??? Maybe you're right. It must be that we were starved by hunger that we are starting to imagine things.]

The master and cat duo came to an agreement after getting no response from their surroundings. They were about to start walking forward, but before they could take another step, a voice sounded from behind them.

”Hold it right there! Don't you dare make another move!”

The voice sounds so familiar. It was like they have heard of the other party's voice before, somewhere.

”MEOW”

”Where are you. Stop hiding! Show yourself.”

Janus was so fed up with this kind of hide and seek peg. He had seen a lot of scenes just like this in the movies before.

In the movies, the owner of the voice will appear out of nowhere with a cool entrance. For special cases played during the night, the owner of the voice will even appear from where the moon shines so that it will illuminate his or her silhouette and it will exclude a cool and imposing aura.

There is no way he will allow another side character in his own story to have such a grand entrance.
