”Bro Yaaaaannnn!!!!!!”

Mu Lingxi was awakened by the sound of her friend's voice calling out for her name.

When she opened her eyes once more, a pitch dark place flooded her sight. It takes a couple of minutes before her eyes managed to get used to the darkness around her.

Looking around the place, Mu Lingxi realized that she was currently resting inside a cave. The space inside the cave is not large, just enough to give three to five people a comfortable place to rest.

The bright full moon was already hanging high up at the night sky, casting a pale white glow at the entrance of the cave.

Even the joyful cacophony of birdsong in the wee hours of the morning was already replaced by its night counterpart, the dusk chorus.

The sound made by the dusk chorus started to resound in the area as soon as the sun took a deep dip in the western horizon.

This chorale was made of the occasional hooting of the owls, together with other nocturnal creatures such as crickets and sweet nightingales.

Mu Lingxi could clearly hear the pleasant sound made by the nocturnal creatures in the surroundings. The sound of their singing permeated the area welcoming the arrival of the night.

On her side, Mu Lingxi also saw a young lady around the same age as hers. The young lady was sitting with her knees tucked up to her chest. Just like her, the young lady was also taking her nap on the cold floor of the cave.

The cold draft of the night chilled their bodies that it almost feels like the chill was running deep into their bones.

The sleeping young lady was woken up when Mu Lingxi stirred into motion.

”Ohh,.. you are awake... are you okay now? How is your wound? Does it still hurt???”

The young lady asked Mu Lingxi's condition as soon as it saw that she was already awake.

The other party's eyes were full of concern when she asked that, devoid of any falsehood. This in return warmed Mu Lingxi's heart, especially since the young lady also had a sweet and comforting voice.

”Yeah... It still stings a little. Anyways, thank you for saving me back then.”

Mu Lingxi smiled back in response.

”No worries. By the way, my name is Hae Soo, and you are?”

”I'm Su Yan...”

The other party's attitude is just too amiable that Mu Lingxi was even starting to think that she won't have any hard time making friends with this girl named, Hae Soo.

”Supposedly we are competitors. But since you don't have your personal token with you, I cannot eliminate you and send you out of here. All left to us was to wait for the time limit to end.”

It seems that the young lady had already done searching her body in hopes of finding her personal token while she was deep asleep.

Fortunately, she gave her token to Long Yue before. She has not yet to retrieve her personal token yet. So it was still left under Long Yue's care.

It was no exaggeration to say that it was one of the best choices she ever did in her life. Right now, Mu Lingxi even had the urge to give herself a two thumbs up.

If she has not done that, she would have been eliminated now in the game before she could even wake up.

No wonder, since they were still inside the arena and they suppose to be competing with one another. All of them shared the same goal.

Each of the students competing inside the arena was trying their best to get a hold of other student's personal token.

For their aim is to eliminate as many competitors as they could before the time ends. So Mu Lingxi felt no offense for this matter.

”I suppose, since I am the one who saved you back there, you won't harbor a plan of snatching my personal token, right? Or else you will be branded as an ingrate.”

Hae Soo said as she looked at Mu Lingxi. But from the way she said it, it sounded more like she was just joking around to lighten the mood.

”Of course I'm not an ungrateful person. Rest assured that I won't stoop so low by doing that. I owe you one.”

Mu Lingxi offered her reassurance right away.

”That's good to hear then... Oh right! Your wound. Let's clean it and changed its bandage to prevent it from getting infected.”

”Err.. W- wa-- wait! Hold on for a second...hey stop!”
