”Have you heard about the survival quest that the school will be conducting?”
”Never heard about it. What do you know about it this time?”
Yun Xue replied with and upturned eyebrows.
Why is Chan Gu seems to be well versed in gossips and news? He sure is always up to date.
”I heard that it was a group competition held by the school where students from all magic realm can participate and they will have to compete on the same stage.”
”What? That's absurd! Isn't it a bit unfair for students of the red realm? After all, no matter how one looks at it, students of the higher realm will always have their advantage.”
Fan Lei replied in protest. That said competition is kinda weird.
”That's not it, during this group competition, everyone will have to start at the same baseline. No one is allowed to use magic.”
”Are they nuts?!!! What's the essence of competing if we can not be able to use the magic that we learned in the first place?”
Long Yue interjected when he hard hat they were talking about.
”Hmm... I think I understand why the school made such rules. Do you remember what happens to us back in Echurid? Because of our too much reliance on our magic, we ended up in a disadvantageous situation after we depleted our mana storage.
It could be that the school wants to resolve this flaw in our mentality. By utilizing this kind of game rules to teach us that over-reliance to magic spells is not the way to go.”
