76 THE CALM? BEFORE THE STORM (1/2)

Mu Lingxi and Janus surreptitiously walks towards the direction from where the commotion was happening.

On the other side of the ship's deck, there has been someone creating a scene.

”MEOW”

[Woah! I can sense some drama was about to unfold!]

”You scumbag! Stay away from my friend! Leave her alone! Please! For crying out loud! Stop messing up her world anymore. Give her the peace of mind that she truly deserved!”

”No! Hold on! Let me explain myself first. Let me speak to Zhang Ya.... Zhang Ya... please... let's talk... I love you.. please.. give me a chance.”

”Shut up! You cheater! My friend does not deserve an idiot and jerk like you! Leave her alone!”

”Shut up! You are just her friend. You don't know anything about us. Stop meddling about our affairs!”

It did not take long for a crisp sound of palm hitting someone else faces to reverberate in the air.

Apparently, the friend who was busy arguing with the guy seems to have her patience snap into nothingness as she loses control and slaps the man's face really hard.

To the point that her small hand left a red trace on the face of the guy. Her five delicate fingers were perfectly imprinted on the skin.

Duan Yue, the said friend, felt her hand stings a bit. But that slap sure stings more. She did not feel any remorse towards her action if there happens to be anything that she feels about it. It is dissatisfaction.

She feels like the guy, named Lu Chong deserved more than just a slap on the face. After all, the guy was a cheater!

Stunned by the sudden slap that he received, Lu Chong failed to react right away as he held his stinging face and look at his assailant with wide eyes.

Zhang Ya pulled her friend away, she no longer wants to make things more complicated. Her eyes were already red from crying.

”Duan Yue, come on. Let's get out of here. Please....”

With Zhang Ya's constant pleading, Duan Yue relented and decided to leave the man alone.

When they turn around and was about to leave, Lu Chong grabs Zhang Ya's arm.

”Zhang Ya, please don't go. It's not like what you're thinking. You know how much I loved you right?!”

Instead of answering, Zhang Ya just keeps her head down. Her long black hair shielding her face on both sides while hot tears continue to flows from her eyes like a river.

Seeing that Zhang Ya was not totally avoiding her, Lu Chong continued his persuasion as he held both of her hands.

”Zhang Ya. Just give me one last chance to make things right. I won't do it again, I promise. Please don't leave me.”

If people could see how pitiful Lu Chong looks like now, they might get fooled. He looks exactly like a harmless pup. With that beady eyes of his as he said his plea.

But Duan Yue won't buy this facade. This same man acting as the pitiful and harmless pup was a cunning old fox! He was a cheater! A womanizer! Guys like him deserved a special space on the deepest pit of hell!
