65 UNDER ATTACK (1/2)
As if they plan to wake up all at the same time, door after door opened one by one. It did not take long for the small and narrow corridor to be crowded as all of them headed in the same direction.
When they were finally out, the people scattered within the ship's deck. Minding their own business.
Not knowing what to do next, Mu Lingxi decided to observe everyone first. They casually walk towards the edge of the ship's deck, using the guardrail to support her as she walks.
”MEOW”
[ Aren't we suppose to have our breakfast???? Little girl, I'm starving.]
”Yeah sure, have this.”
She casually handed her cat the meat jerky that Sir Lutin gave last night. Then Mu Lingxi continued to look from a distance.
She squinted her eyes, trying hard to look in one direction.
Janus, on the other hand, feels that he was tricked into going out. He thought that they will be going to have a taste of the ship's cuisine. But all she meant is that they will be going to eat outside, as they watch the scenery of the vast sea.
”MEOW”
[Tsk... This girl... What now??? Is she planning to ask me to have a taste of this salty water next??? Or is she going to ask me to take a pinch of this seawater and add it to this bland meat jerky to add more spice on it???!]
Janus keeps on grumbling under his breath as he ate the bland meat jerky with a heavy heart.
Unaware of her cat's bleating over the food that she offered, Mu Lingxi clumsily reached out for her cat with trembling hands.
Mu Lingxi did not dare take her eyes away from the small dot that seems to go bigger and approached them.
As a result, her hands touched Janus' nose, mouth, ears, and whiskers. Causing Janus to twitch his face at all places every time Mu Lingxi's hand landed on a certain spot of his head.
”MEOW”
[Little girl, what are you doing??? Stop rummaging my face! I cannot focus on my meal here.]
”Have a look!”
That are the only words that Mu Lingxi managed to utter as she held her cat up. Holding him under his armpit, just like how Simba was raised at the edge of the mountain on the movie ”THE LION KING”.
Being held up and seeing the body of water under him with nothing to stabilize his footing, the cat shriek in panic.
