She was already panting heavily and her feet were all sore due to constant stumbling. She suspects that she already had a sprain but she did not dare slow a bit.

When she looked at her back, the mob was still chasing after her. She can feel that her exhaustion was about to take over her soon but she still continued to run.

She knew that once they catch up with her, there is no way that they will let her escape no matter how hard she pleaded.

The small alley allows the echo to stay longer. On the other hand, the shadows of the running mob seem to regain consciousness after the howling sound echoed at the surrounding.

After a while, it was as if a troop of shadows was summoned out of thin air and it blocks the path between the mob and the figure of master and cat duo.

It was an eerie sight to behold. The black color of the shadow makes the people around feel more frightened. They were standing in their way imposingly. They were like dark clouds on a moonless night.

The mob did not dare to take one step closer, especially when they notice that their own shadows were missing!!!!
