8 I WANT TO LEARN MAGIC (1/2)

After getting bloated from eating they decided to rest for a while. Mu Lingxi sat down on a large rock beside the lake. She looked up and observed the night sky. Stars were scattered everywhere as if someone accidentally spilled diamonds all over it.

”This place was so relaxing”

Yanyan commented as she settled herself on the grass. She looked at her young miss then back to the little black cat who was busy fiddling on the lake water.

”What a wonderful night. The cold breeze and starry night. Even the moon was shining brightly above. Such a nice place, so romantic. How nice it could be if I can share it with someone,... like a date or something”

Mu Lingxi thought to herself as she looked to her company. One fragile looking girl and a cat.

She patted her chest and said,

” Don't be sad Lingxi, someone somewhere is sharing the same lonely heart with you. It's okay,... it's okay...”

she said it slowly with closed eyes as if saying a prayer.

”MEOW” [ Woa!!! Hey little lass. Look what I've got! ]

the cat leaped from the lake and went to Mu Lingxi's side.

Janus had a fish between his teeth and he placed it in front of Mu Lingxi.

”WHATDA HEEEEEEELLLLL!!!!” Lingxi shrieked and almost fell from to lake due to her fright.

”Janus! You naughty cat! You loved teasing me...”

Lingxi panted and while calming her heartbeat that was beating too hard, she looked back at the weird-looking fish near her.

Yanyan was startled for her young miss reaction and soon find out the reason why. She glanced at the freshly picked fish that was currently gasping on the ground.

”That is a BAMBINO FISH young miss. It is best for brewing medicinal soups. It can be sold up to 100 gold coins.”

”That much??!!” Lingxi exclaimed. ”Are you sure that this one is edible?” she added with a twitching face.

”Of course I am young miss. Your grandfather loves to enjoy a bowl of BAMBINO FISH soup during cold days” Yanyan replied with a smile.

”B..Bu...But this one looks horrible! Can't you see?! It has the face of a baby! A B-A-B-Y for Pete's sake!!! How come a fish could look like that?!”

she still can't believe that her loving and doting grandfather loves to eat such horrible looking food.

He imagined Mu Ruochen enjoying a bowl of warm soup slurping vigorously while observing the rain falling on the window.

”He must have a weird choice of food if that is the case”

Mu Lingxi finds it hard to add this weird looking food to her ”must try” menu.
