”Magic?!! But How?” Mu Lingxi exclaimed. She never thought that her life can be more complicated.
”Silly girl. If I knew how, do you think I still need to send you away?” Mu Ruochen sadly retorted.
”But grandfather, I don't want to go... I want to take care of you. Just send Yanxiao away I'll stay with you.. don't send me away. Pleaseeee???” She pleaded with puppy eyes. Mu Lingxi decided to play her card and act cute in front of her grandfather again.
Hoping that this will change his mind. She knew better than anyone that she can't have any sort of magic precisely because she is not the real Mu Lingxi in the first place.
”Little girl, I hope you will not hate grandfather but this time we cannot do it your way. Someday you will realize that I'm doing this for your own good”
”But grandfather,... I don----------”
”His highness wants to seek an audience from the Mu head clan.” a high pitched voice resounded on their ears before Mu Lingxi can even voice her protest.
”We will talk about it later, for now, you can go back to your room.” Mu Ruochen dismissed her granddaughter and headed to personally greet his majesty.
Mu Lingxi had no other choice but let go of the matter. She feels like crying but there were no tears to shed. She walked back to her chamber downcasted.
”What should I do????!!!”
”MEOW” [ Just let it be... relax. ]
”How could I??? You heard him... He wants me to learn magic... and obviously, I cannot. You know that.”
”MEOW” [ So what? It doesn't matter. ]
”Yes, it is! What if they got suspicious about my identity because I don't have magic and find out that I'm not the real Mu Lingxi? What if they accused me of killing her instead? what if----”
”MEOW” [ Cut it off Lingxi... you are overthinking. Don't you see, even your grandfather doesn't have magic so it's normal that you don't have it as well. It won't be an issue. ]
”But I don't know what to do in that Academia or whatsoever..”
”MEOW” [Just do your best. Who knows? Maybe you could be able to conjure one or two spells.. That would be better. ]
”Well, I'm not some sort of Hermione or Harry Potter as you know. I am no wizard or whatever you called them.”
Mu Lingxi was busy talking to her cat, as she turns to a corner and bumped with someone. They both fell down.
”Oh, I...I'm sorry...” She mumbled and as they got up. Yanyan helps her up of course. She automatically dusted the other party's skirt just like what she used to do whenever she bumped to someone before.
”It's ok Lingxi, I can just change to a new set of a dress just let it be.” Mu Lingxi heard a sweet voice with a hint of laughter, she slowly raised her head to meet the owner of that voice.
”It seems like you're totally fine. I'm glad to see that you're not hurt.” The lady continued to say.
