4 RETURNING TO MU CLAN RESIDENCE (2/2)

In the past, her young miss does not have any other expression aside from a smiling lady just like how she was trained since childhood. But her smile does not reach her eyes and betrayed its purpose. And because of that many lamented for her beauty. They saw Mu Lingxi as a beautiful figurine but empty inside. But the look of Mu Lingxi that she saw now was fresh. It's far from the usual aloof expression of her young miss. Yanyan wonders what might be the reason for this change but she does not have the right to ask.

”If young miss does not need anything, this servant shall leave now.” Yanyan curtsied sweetly as she goes away.

After Yanyan left, Mu Lingxi cleaned herself and changed into fresh clothes. She sat on her bed and stared at her cat. She still can't believe that her little black cat can talk just like a human and turn into a large black panther at will. The black cat reverted back to its normal size before they enter the Mu residence. Janus was currently cleaning himself as well.

” What do you think about this Mu Yanxiao?” Mu Lingxi asked.

”MEOW” [ Beware of her. We're not sure what does she want. If she bore ill intention, then we should not show mercy.”]

”Yea,.. you're right,” she said while yawning. ” I wish she would just leave me alone. I just want to live my life quietly.”

”MEOW” [ You can hope for that, but you must brace yourself, little lass. This place is different from where we came from..]

” Definitely, based on the memory that I acquired this world is not ordinary. Every time that a person reaches their teens they will have the capability to tame a spirit beast. And get sent to some sort of training camp.”

”MEOW” [ Then that would be great. I can just play the part of your contracted spiritual beast and you can save yourself the trouble of finding one” the cat offered.

”That sounds a good idea.” Mu Lingxi immediately gives her consent.

Mu Lingxi and the little black cat chatted for a while and planned ahead how they can possibly survive the life in this world until she felt sleepy. She rested her body on the soft mattress while the cat jumps silently beside her and curled its body as well, preparing to rest. That night, Mu Lingxi sleep soundly.
