9 Chapter 8 - Love, Evol (1/2)

The day after Levi gave the call to Mary.

After Levi called Mary yesterday, and Mary has forgiven him for his horrible act on the other night; Levi feels extremely happy about today.

As an apology, Levi invites Mary to a movie that Mary wishes to watch. Along with that since tomorrow is the weekend, and after hearing that Mary once slept over in the movie theater Levi also have his own thought on spending the night inside the movie theater; therefore Levi and Mary come to an agreement that they would spend tonight watching a movie in the theater and also do a sleepover inside the theater.

When you are in a great mood, life is always going to be an asshole and give you the worst situation to mess up your happy mood. As Levi comes into the office, his boss, the team leader of a project that Levi is involved in, announces that today Levi and his team will be working over-time due to some ridiculous reason.

”What the Heck, man! Why God has to do me like that!” Levi feels annoyed with the bad things that are always kept on happening to him. Started when he was young with the lovemaking and health condition situation; to now that he finally fixed his problem and can move on to a happy life, about to score a touch down with a pretty and nice girl that he never had before; but life always has to be an asshole and comes around to mess it up for him.

Life is like a law that no one can change, no matter how hard it is the only thing Levi can do now is compliant about and come back to reality to deal with it.

He picks up his phone, opens up to message app, clicks on the name ”Mary” with a devil emoji next to it.

”Hey, Mary, I'm sorry to text you this, but today I have to work over-time. I don't think we can go to the movie tonight. I'm sorry. [Sad Emoji].”

Then puts his phone down and proceed to work in an annoyed and a bit sad feeling.

Hours have gone by, a gentle but clear ring alert Levi. It is Mary's text back.

”Hey, Levi, It's fine.”

Levi reads the message and sudden pound hits Levi's heart. He felt sad and disappointed; he feels like a kid who got hurt and comes home expecting his mom to comfort him but instead gets criticized for the clumsiness this kid has.

Levi puts his phone down and chooses to ignore the message from Mary. He is upset but yet a little bit angry, he then threw himself into work; hoping to forget the horrible feeling he is having right now.

Not too long after the first ring, ”Ding!” a second ring rings from Levi's phone.

Levi picks up his phone with a little sadness and more of expectation that for Mary's comfort.

Unfortunately, it's just a spam message from a website.

”Love will kill you if you are expecting it. - Darwin”

Levi is furious at the moment and did not spot the name after the spam message; puts the phone down and continues to work.

Right after Levi deletes the spam message a new message came across Levi's phone.

”Where do you work?” It's Mary.

Levi saw the message, his hand is shaking from the sudden excitement he felt from the message from Mary.
