178 Who Cares For My Happiness? (1/2)

Jayne then pulled out a chair for Ronnie to sit. She carefully made him sit on it. She then said, ”You guys carry on. I'll be back.”

They all then proceeded to have dinner except Ronnie who preferred to wait for his wife to return.

Another wave of jealousy hit Virat. All this was too much for him for a single day. He could only kick Ronnie in his mind for all this.

The only person who was ecstatic right now was Sanvi. She felt a pang of hope on seeing the chemistry between Maya and Ronnie Roy. She suddenly felt guilty for ill-treating and hating her best friend Maya just because of her obsession  towards Virat. She had gone a bit too far to possess him, to the extent of even murdering Maya. But luckily n.o.body, not even Virat knew about it.

She thought inwardly, 'I'm so sorry to have mistaken you Maya. You were and are my best friend. I really have no hatred towards you, except for my love for Virat. But then, it turns out that you've indeed totally forgotten your past love and moved on with another man leaving behind what was rightfully mine. Sooner or later, Virat will surely be my man.'

She subconsciously rubbed her belly, 'Not just because of his baby, but he'll wholeheartedly love me for sure. I'll never ever harm you again Maya. I was blinded by my egoistic obsession for Virat. But not anymore!' Sanvi felt remorseful.

Food indeed has magical powers. It was a long time since they'd eaten Indian food. Slowly with each bite, both Sanvi and Virat forgot everything else and dug in.

Jayne came back wearing her favourite Mickey Mouse t-s.h.i.+rt and pajamas. She let loose her long hair. Her face had a natural glow which emitted a charm that would make her stand out in a crowd.

Virat who had food in his mouth raised his head casually. He saw his Maya walking down oh so gracefully. His heart skipped a beat. He stopped eating.

At the same time, Sanvi caught him looking at Maya. In order to not draw everyone's attention to him, she drew his attention away from Maya by asking him, ”Virat, please pa.s.s the curry. It tastes so good!”

Virat snapped back immediately and coughed slightly before pa.s.sing the curry towards Sanvi.

Jayne came and took the seat next to Ronnie. She filled his plate and began feeding him slowly.

Virat didn't know for how long he could take all of this and when he'd explode. He was tamping down his fury with great efforts.

Jayne then looked at Virat and Sanvi, ”Virat, my university fest begins tomorrow. I'm performing at the inauguration. Make sure you both are present at six in the evening at our college auditorium.”

Sanvi answered, ”Sure Ma…. Sorry, sure Jayne… We'll be there…”
