Chapter 502: Return (1/2)
”You fucking asshole!” Aeron bellowed, sending a vicious kick over my face blasting me into the wall, vomiting a mouthful of blood and bits of teeth. A painful cry slipped from my lips, sliding down to the ground.
”Cheap shot, you little bitch!” I spat, spitting up a bit of blood.
”I'm going to kill him!” Aeron bellowed.
Holding him back Talos, and Vulron both held onto Aeron as he stormed his way towards me. At the same time, Baphomet watched with a cheeky smile, not bothering to say anything.
”You just forced a war with everyone. It was only the damn devil's battle; now it's everyone's.” The God of Slaughter roared, struggling against the two gods holding him in place. ”You're a son of a bitch! Loki, that fucker is probably laughing his ass off now.”
Wiping the blood pouring from my mouth, I rolled my eyes, not in the least a bit angry. It was a reasonable response. I did, after all, screw everyone... Again.
”Why so angry? It's not like it's my fault?”
”We were approached by that bastard Yael. Our disciple has been seen traveling with you. We know your whereabouts, we know everything, but refused to give you away.” He coldly mentioned to surprise me of information I had already figured.
”That was because you planned on using me like some puppet. I could not care when or if the Overworld attacks. Now, the tables have turned. You need me more than I need you.”
Glaring with a victorious fire, I chuckled, passing a bit of Abyssal Night Qi over my mouth to mend my injuries. ”It's really nothing personal. It's how the game is played. You should understand Aeron. You started it with me.”
”So you knew?” Aiza suddenly chimed in.
”What idiot wouldn't. You even sent those little shits downstairs to me. Honestly, did you really think I would temper them for you? They are both my pawn and knights.” I couldn't help point out.
Touching my lips that had healed, leaving only a scab, I snorted.
”So what now.” Talos, seemingly the only one with an indifferent expression, asked.
”Honestly, I got nothing. At least not till the wedding day.” I lied with a straight face.
”Do you ever not lie? What of the blood smears. I have read the reports. Everyone in the Courts knows about them.”
”I'm confused. Are you finally going to interfere in the Court of Nox? Because I'm not comfortable telling people my plans. Especially when they made the People that are hunting me.”
Talos's expression could not have grown darker. ”I will kill you, Arsene. Do not play these games with me.”
Narrowing my gaze, I glanced at Baphomet, and Azeroth who remained asleep. Shifting them back to Talos, I shrugged, ”Are you sure? Killing me will only enhance your issues. From how I see, the Angels will have a few decisions.”
”They will head to the Overworld and meet with their leaders, who wish for nothing more than to kill you all,” Baphomet explained with a half-hearted smile.” These planes may be lost to you all, but we Devils and Angels have many ways of entering. Except for the Astral Sea, Noctem, and The Plane of Oblivion. We can go anywhere.”
”I did not know that. So if I head into Hell, would I be able to travel to these different realms?” I curiously inquired.
