Chapter 116 - GOING THROUGH ANOTHER PAIN (2/2)
It had been five months, but she had not yet gotten better. If anything, her condition only got worse, she shut all the people out of her life…
July's body was trembling in his arms, she was crying her heart out and there was nothing Knox could do to lessen her pain.
”I am sorry, my love…” Knox whispered to her ears, if he could, he wanted to take away all of her pain, he wanted her to forget about him, since it would be best for her to live her life without knowing him.
But, he couldn't do that and the thought of her not remembered anything that they had gone through together, was almost like a physical pain for him.
”You left me…” July cried, she hugged him tightly, as if she didn't do that, Knox would disappear again and she would wake up to find out this was only a dream… ”Why don't you say anything?”
Knox kissed her cheeks and her forehead. ”I am sorry.” And that was the only words that he could say, though it was not enough to show all of his feeling for her.
”Don't ever do that again!” July grabbed Knox front shirt, as she looked at him right in the eyes with her teary eyes. ”Don't leave me again!”
However, Knox couldn't promise that. He had nothing to offer for her…
====================
Lise was laying down on the hospital bed, waiting for her labor, since the interval of the pain had become closer with Gael was sitting on the chair beside of her bed, refused to leave her alone.
Meanwhile, Anne had prepared everything for this moment and she was very enthusiastic to welcome a new member to the family.
Lise couldn't say that it was a family, but this was the only thing that close to it…
She was glad to know that her family survived the earthquake months ago and lived their life normally even without her.
”It will be hurt for you to have a normal labor, don't you want…” Gael kept fussing over this fact. He wanted her to have painless delivery, but Lise was hellbend to have it normal, since the doctor said she could do it.
”No, Gael… I want it this way.” She held his hand and it felt so cold to her touch. His condition sometime worried her, since occasionally he would look so frail.
Lise knew what caused him that way and she was sorry for that… she didn't mean to put him in harm way, she just…
”I am sorry to put you through another pain…” Gael lowered his head and kissed her knuckles, remorse in his eyes.
Lise sighed, as she caressed his curly hair and spoke in low voice, as the pain came again. ”This is the pain that I am willing to go through.”
One thing that Lise conceded; there was no way she would hate her own child…
