Chapter 582 - Zs Delusion (1/2)

Author’s Note: The last chapter was changed a little. I felt that as this story’s major Boss character, their previous name was a little bit underwhelming so I’ve decided to go with the codename Z and not use the original name.

“Why is it that you are adamant on going against my organization?” Z stared at Qin Feng with a pair of deep eyes that seemed to be able to pierce through anything with their gaze!

Qin Feng sneered and said, “With how your organization is, you still want me to spell it out? You abduct apt.i.tude users for your experiments, you poison whole towns with your toxins and cause the death of tens of thousands of people. How would I not be against this kind of organization?”

“Technology can advance humanity by leaps and bounds, you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs!” Z said. “Two hundred years ago, humanity was undergoing rapid development, they destroyed their surroundings, toppled whole forests and that brought them prosperity, then they started to fix the destruction they’ve caused. Isn’t that normal?”

Qin Feng’s expression remained unchanged, his voice was as cold as the wind on a snowy mountain.

“Fix? How? Can a murdered person be brought back? When the world was changed by the Great Rift Age, with the exposure to energy, countless poisons that polluted the world began to mutate. Can that be fixed? If people knew this was going to happen, they wouldn’t have done it in the beginning!”

“Hmph, young man, don’t stop progress just because some people are getting hurt in the process. If not, then how would humanity be able to face off the countless hordes of ultra beasts? When would they find their Immortal?”

Qin Feng was completely stunned.

This was the second time he heard something like this from another person.

The first time ‘Immortal’ was mentioned was when he faced off against that dragon-borne prodigy in the Perished Lands.

As for this kind of thing, most people were completely unaware of it.

Those who knew this were either someone who had crossed paths with the aliens from the other tribes or an A-tier apt.i.tude user.

Could Z be an A-tier apt.i.tude user?

If he was A-tier, then why would he build his bases in backwater states like Xueyuan, Cities along the Sun, or the North Sea?

These places did not have a lot of resources.

But these were not what Qin Feng wanted to know about.

“You mean, your experiments can produce an Immortal? Don’t kid yourself, transferring the crystal core of an S-tier Beast G.o.d into someone’s brain would make them an Immortal?” Qin Feng said mockingly but he was also trying to probe for information.

Z laughed as if he had just heard a good joke, shaking his head he said, “What you just said was a failed experiment!”

A failed experiment. Qin Feng’s gaze went over to Thirteen’s body.

Z did not try to gloss it over and nodded. “That’s right. He had always been a failure and that is irreversible!”

On the ground, the dying but not dead yet Thirteen smiled bitterly.

The reason he was called Thirteen was because he was actually the 13th experiment!

However, the people present did not let their attention linger on Thirteen for long..

Qin Feng had a solemn expression on his face as he stared at Z.

“Then, what is a successful experiment?”

As he asked, he suddenly thought of Han Nuan and those who survived Shadong Town’s incident.
