Atlan looked at the shadow of the bleak forest, and he opened his mouth.

“It’s over there.”

“We have to capture that?”

“Yes.”

He let out a sigh at Atlan’s answer,.

“At a glance, doesn’t it look very dangerous?  I don’t think I’ll last 10 seconds.”

“This is to test your evolved ability.”

“The Minions may die.”

“So?”

Atlan looked back at Lee-joonhyuk as if he didn’t care. Lee-joonhyuk knew if he hadn’t become a Novice then he would have received the same treatment as them.

“Be ready.”

Lee-joonhyuk looked at the beings he could see in front of him.  There were Ghouls with their flesh falling off, and there were Specters circling around their heads.

There were eight of them, and behind them there was a 5 meter tall golem made out of bones.  When Lee-joonhyuk saw the golem, he turned to look at Atlan.

“Do we have a plan?”

“I’ll enter then you cast a barrier on me.  I’ll fight for 10 seconds then I’ll escape.”

“Are you going against the Bone Golem?”

“I will.  If I have 10 seconds, I’ll be able to defeat it.”

“What about the rest?”

“You take care of it.”

Without saying anything, Atlan immediately ran forward.  When Atlan stepped forward, the Ghouls, Specters and the Bone Golem focused their gazes on him.  Lee-joonhyuk saw Atlan raise his hand to send a signal, so he raised his hand towards Atlan.

Soon, the barrier surrounded Atlan’s body.  Atlan used the momentum from his run to take out and swing his sword.  The Ghouls, who were blocking his path, were all cut to pieces.  The problem was the two Specters floating in the sky.  When the Specter’s attack didn’t work on Atlan, they turned to fly towards Lee-joonhyuk.

It wasn’t easy to face off against a Specter when he didn’t have his barrier.  He had fought against a Specter once before.  He had been with Vera at that time, so he only had to draw its eyes to him.  Therefore, it wasn’t a problem.  However, he had to fight directly against them right now.

Lee-joonhyuk grabbed his two handed sword to face off against the Specters.  Kim-sarang yelled when she saw his figure, which was burning with a fighting spirit.

“Be careful.”

Lee-joonhyuk only had to last until Atlan defeated the Bone Golem.

“Everyone has to look out for their own life.”

After he said this, he stepped forward, and the Specter swung its enormous scythe.  Lee-joonhyuk swung the two-handed sword to deflect the scythe.

Zzung!

He had never swung a two handed sword before so his stance was poor.  However, the power within the sword wasn’t light.  He had learned how to control his muscles, and even though he was in a soul state, he unconsciously used his skill.

He had deflected one scythe, but he wasn’t in a position to block the next one.  Lee-joonhyuk rolled on the floor to avoid the Specter’s attack, and the other Specter that got past him attacked the Minions behind him.

One shocked man swung his sword.

Lee-joonhyuk had trained his soul, which in turn, had trained his body.

When the man saw Lee-joonhyuk block the strike, he thought he could do it also.  However, the Specter pushed aside his sword in a breath, then it decapitated its opponent.

Kim-sarang screamed when she saw the Minion’s head fly off.

“Kyaaaaaahk!”

Lee-joonhyuk ran toward their direction as he yelled.

“Put up your s.h.i.+elds!”

At Lee-joonhyuk’s shout, the Minions flinched.  Then those, who were quicker on the uptake, raised their s.h.i.+elds.  The other Specter attacked a Minion, but he was able to block the attack with the s.h.i.+eld.

Of course, he fell down after receiving impact from the attack, but he was still alive.  Lee-joonhyuk observed the Specters as he ran towards them.

All Specters floated around in the air.

At the very least, they floated about 4 meters high, and they swam in the air when they weren’t taking their opponent’s head.  He had to jump up to attack this enemy.

Lee-joonhyuk, while running, stepped on a minion’s s.h.i.+eld.  In a breath, he had jumped high into where the Specter was, and he swung his sword

Ssssahk.

The Specter hadn’t expect Lee-joonyuk to jump so high, so it suffered an unexpected attack.  However, it didn’t die from a single strike.

The Specter’s body became fuzzy, and it seemed like one more blow was needed to kill it.  Therefore, Lee-joonhyuk spun his body in the air, and he swung the two handed sword again.

Sssssahk.

The Specter eventually disintegrated as it was sliced.  The other Specter swung its scythe as it aimed for Lee-joonhyuk.  He had pulled off two attack in mid-air, so Lee-joonhyuk was about to land on the ground.

The only thing he could do was block his vital spots with his two-handed sword.

Before the scythe of the Specter could clash against Lee-joonhyuk’s two-handed sword, The Specter’s body was ripped into two.

Zzzzung!

He saw a sword hit his two-handed sword, and it returned from whence it came.  Atlan received the returning sword, then he moved to the side as he faced off against the Bone Golem.  The Bone Golem had already had lost one arm, and its side was considerably damaged.  However, its attack was powerful.

Kw.a.n.g!

Atlan rolled his body to avoid the Bone Golem’s strike then he yelled.

“Get your head on straight!”

Lee-joonhyuk smirked at the fact that Atlan had save him.  He grabbed the two handed sword with one hand.  It was heavy, but he could handle it.  Lee-joonhyuk raised his hand toward Kim-sarang.

“Give me your s.h.i.+eld.”

“Yes? Yes.”

Kim-Sarang, who was taken aback, handed her s.h.i.+eld over to him.  After receiving it, Lee-joonhyuk ran towards the Bone Golem.  The ten seconds had already pa.s.sed, so his barrier was gone.  Atlan had thrown his sword in order to save Lee-joonhyuk, and it caused him to be on the defensive.

Since he understood this, Lee-joonhyuk stepped forward to give Atlan an opportunity.

Lee-joonhyuk yelled as he ran forward.

“I’ll create an opportunity for you.”

“Get away!”

He thought Atlan was shouting nonsense, but Lee-joonhyuk was already with the Bone Golem’s territory.  The Bone Golem reflexively swung its fist as soon as he ran in.

Lee-joonhyuk raised his s.h.i.+eld high, then he put his strength behind it.  The moment he crouched and bunched his muscles, the Bone Golem’s fist came down on his s.h.i.+eld.

Boom!

For a moment, the whole world spun around.  Moreover, it felt like his whole body was about to break.

“Koo-ook!”

Lee-joonhyuk was flung away as he let out a moan, then he crashed into a tree in the background.  The tree shook as if it would break, and Lee-joonhyuk coughed up blood from the impact.  As Lee-joonhyuk fell to the floor, he saw the Bone Golem break into pieces.

Atlan stood on top of the pile of bones from the Bone Golem.  He looked over the pile, then he picked up the gold coins.
