“That child is not allowed.”

“Mother. I love Hae-sook.”

“That child is your sister.” (TLN: Kdrama!)

His mind was still in the process of returning, but what kind of ridiculous plot is this! Lee-joonhyuk opened his eyes as he raised his head. He frowned from the sensation of stickiness on his face.

Zzeeeeek.

When he touched his cheek, the cider he spilled before had dried. Lee-joonhyuk turned his gaze towards the television. The news had finished, and the evening drama was on.

Lee-joonkyuk took out his hand phone. As he checked the time, he let out a forced laugh.

“Only one hour had pa.s.sed?”

Lee-joonhyuk briefly closed his eyes at the difference in time. His soul had suffered through the Canyon of Death for a month. However, in reality, only one hour had pa.s.sed.

Lee-joonhyuk focused his mind, while he had his eyes close. He felt an energy wake up within a location inside his chest, and Lee-joonhyuk smiled.

“She spoke the truth.”

In front of Lee-joonhyuk’s eyes, an ivory colored barrier appeared. After Lee-joonhyuk confirmed it was there, he slowly stood up from his seat.

After 10 seconds, the light barrier disappeared.

Rrrrring.

He suddenly heard the phone ring, so Lee-joonhyuk looked at his hand phone. The LCD screen show his mother’s number.

“h.e.l.lo?”

-Joon-hyuk? Are you ok? Why aren’t you picking up your phone?

Lee-joonhyuk laughed bitterly. Within the hour he had been asleep, she must have called him.

“I’m ok. I fell asleep, so I couldn’t answer it.”

-I called after I saw you on the news. I was so worried when you didn’t pick up the phone. Are you sure you are all right?

“Yes. I’m fine.”

-I guess you didn’t do well in your interview.

“I couldn’t take it, because of the accident.”

-Is that right? Any ways, when you have time, come back home once.

“Yes. Mother. Go to sleep.”

Lee-joonhyuk ended the call, then he looked at the hand phone. There were 48 missed calls. It was all from his mother. Lee-joonhyuk stealthily smiled. When he heard his mother’s voice, the fact that he returned safely finally touched his heart.

“I guess I have no choice, but to lie to her.”

His mother had boasted to her friends that he had made it to ST Capsule’s interview screening. Any ways, he made up a story, so it should be ok.

Lee-joonhyuk slowly looked around his room again. Only one hour had pa.s.sed in reality, but he had felt the time of one month pa.s.s. It really felt like he had returned after a long time.

” It’s been a long time.”

He mumbled in a low voice. First, Lee-joonhyuk went to the bathroom to take a shower. He took off his cloth, and he unwound the bandages. Then he looked at his body reflected in the mirror. He licked his lips.

“I should train like Atlan told me to.”

His stomach was slightly protruding. It was the typical body of a man, who didn’t exercise.

However, Atlan had told him the body should be trained as much as his soul had been trained. If he didn’t, there would be a dissonance between the soul and the physical body. It would damage the body.

It was only for a month, but he had gotten quite close to Vera and Atlan. It was natural for them to grow close in a battle field where death was abound, and this was why he was able to receive this advice.

Lee-joonhyuk looked into his mirror for a moment. Then he turned on the shower nozzle, and he sprayed it over his body. He felt the cool water fall on his body, and Lee-joonhyuk a.s.sured himself that he was still alive.

Lee-joonhyuk slowly opened his eyes as the cold water ran down him.

“Come to think of it, I’m all better.”

His broken rib and the wound on his s.h.i.+n had completely healed. When he fell into the Abnormal Sleeping Disorder, his body had returned itself to its most optimal state.

“Should I consider myself fortunate?”

Lee-joonhyuk shook his head. He couldn’t consider this as being fortunate. He had to escape from multiple throes of death in that place. In the end, he had survived, but it wasn’t an easy task.

“They said they’ll call me again?”

He didn’t want to experience the battlefield of death again, but he knew he couldn’t reject it through his own will.

In terms of time in reality, it would be in two weeks. He’ll be summoned again at the same time as before.

“At least, that’s a piece of good news.”

He would have been found out by others as an ASD patient if it wasn’t for dinner time.

Lee-joonhyuk exited his restroom, then he put on a training suit. Since he made his resolve, he should start on it.

Lee-joonhyuk went outside, and he took a deep breath. Air came deeply into his lungs. It was a different sensation from feeling it as a soul.

Lee-joonhyuk smiled as he started to jog lightly. In terms of time in reality, only one hour had pa.s.sed, but Lee-joonhyuk’s perspective in life had changed.

He exercised all weekend. Then on Monday morning, he ran once around his neighborhood, while drinking in the early morning air. When he was returning to his rented room, there were men guarding the front of the corridor leading to his room.

The two men wore black suits, and when the men saw Lee-jonhyuk, they approached him.

“What brings you here?”

One of the men, who turned his head, fixed his gla.s.ses as he spoke.

“Are you Lee-joonhyuk?”

“Yes. I am Lee-joonhyuk.”

The man with the gla.s.ses laughed as he took out his business card.

“My name is Kw.a.n.g-suktae. I’m a proxy from the Korean division of W.A.N.C.S.”

Kw.a.n.g-sungtae smiled as he spoke.

“If it is possible, may we talk to you inside your home?”

“Please enter.”

Lee-joonhyuk opened the door to his rented room then he entered. It wasn’t a large room, but he always cleaned it. Therefore, he wasn’t averse to guest coming into his room.

Lee-joonhyuk went to fridge, and he opened it. There weren’t any beverages, so he put two cups of water on the table as he spoke.

“Please sit.”

Kw.a.n.g-sungtae and the other man sat. Lee-joonhyuk took out his wallet, and he took out his ID card.

“You are here for this?”

Lee-joonhyuk also took out his receipt for the hospital and pharmacy bills. When he brought out the receipt, the man next to Kw.a.n.g-sungtae eyed it then he took it. Kw.a.n.g-sungtae pushed his gla.s.ses up as he spoke.

“From what I hear, you received a wound on your leg. Isn’t it uncomfortable to move?”

“I’ve received 30 st.i.tches, but it doesn’t hinder me from walking. Moreover, one should move more when hurt. ”

“I see.”
