Chapter 593 - My Mummy Loves Me Most (1/2)
After dinner, Enoch refused to let Xia Ning go. Gao Wanhua asked him to go to bed, but he disagreed.
“I want to sleep with Mummy.” Lying prone on Xia Ning, Enoch pouted at Gao Wanhua and Qiao Yu as if he was wronged.
Seeing Enoch clinging onto Xia Ning like an octopus, Qiao Yu frowned, “Get off your mother.”
“No, Mummy is mine!” Enoch glared at Qiao Yu and said angrily, “Tonight, it is my turn to sleep with Mummy. Daddy, you go to sleep with Grandma.”
Qiao Yu glanced at Enoch, “Do you think I’m fond of pestering my mother like you?”
Enoch snorted unhappily and looked at Qiao Yu, “Because Grandma dislikes you, so she doesn’t want you. Mummy likes me, she must want me.” Then he looked at Xia Ning, blinking his lovely big eyes, “Mummy, I want to sleep with you.”
Xia Ning was more than happy to see her son sticking to her like this. She smiled at him, “Okay.”
“I know Mummy likes me most.” Enoch laughed and sprawled into Xia Ning’s arms again.
Xia Ning could only shake her head but did not hide her smile.
When Qiao Yu saw that Xia Ning was happy, his expression spontaneously softened. Qiao Yu ignored Enoch’s remark that Mummy liked him most. Since the child belonged to them both, Xia Ning liking the child meant that she liked Qiao Yu too.
But she smiled much less five years ago. Sometimes, he looked at her only to find that she seemed so far from him. If those things did not happen at that time, they must have been the happiest family.
After playing for a while, Enoch fell asleep in Xia Ning’s arms. Qiao Yu directly laid him onto the large bed in the main bedroom and let him sleep between Qiao Yu and Xia Ning.
Xia Ning sat beside the window and watched Enoch as he slept, her heart growing tender.
“He looks a little bit like me.” Xia Ning said suddenly.
Qiao Yu walked near Xia Ning to follow her gaze with his eyes. He nodded, “His eyes look like yours, and his nose.”
“Thank you, Qiao Yu.” Xia Ning whispered. She was grateful to him for letting her see such a healthy, energetic child.
