4 Chapter 4 Trial Part 1 (2/2)

Sephiroth initially turned the small ones to get used to fighting because he has no experience in handling the sword in a real battle.

Unfortunately, the Daemon was endless and inexorably the warriors were pus.h.i.+ng back and getting closer to the civilians behind them who were getting stuck and the warriors were falling one after the other.

Time pa.s.sed and after 1 hour more than half of the warriors had fallen and the Daemons were still as numerous as they were at the beginning.

Sephiroth had to drop the weaker Daemons and attack the iron giants and behemoths.

The last 30 minutes left only a handful of warriors who were exhausted including Sephiroth but all without exception forced themselves to fight.

Sephiroth skilfully used his sword with every blow, his sword seemed to split the wind, and a sound that announced death sounded for the Daemon.

As Sephiroth's eyes began to shriek, cries were heard ”The sun!” ”The sun is rising!” ”Hurrah”

Sephiroth felt the rays of sun fall on him and with a smile, he fell face down and s.p.a.ce and time froze before Somnus appeared next to Sephiroth's body and said, ”Unbelievable. He resisted to the end without letting to fall, even the real King, Noctis, lost civilians and tried him many times before succeeding in my trial. ”

Somnus looked at Sephiroth lying on the ground before raising his sword to the sky and a white light coming out that brought Somnus and Sephiroth to the first floor of the tower.

Somnus watched Sephiroth faint and said, ”Go and rest.”

Somnus sent Sephiroth's mind back into his body so he could rest through sleep.

The next day, while Sephiroth slept, he felt two weights on his chest and opening his eyes he saw Helene and Selene on his right and left.

Sephiroth: ”What are you doing here?”

Helen: ”We came because you were not awake.”

Selene: ”So we came to see you sleep.”

Sephiroth smiled at Helen and Selene before rubbing their heads and saying, ”Go eat, I'm coming.”

Helen and Selene: ”Okay, we are waiting for you soon.”

Watching the two girls come out of his room, Sephiroth lost his smile before closing his eyes and plunged into his consciousness.

Sephiroth appeared in his mental world and the huge tower was still there.

Sephiroth entered the tower and saw Somnus sitting on a throne and before Sephiroth could speak Somnus was faster ”You have successfully tried my case so you deserve an explanation.”

Sephiroth listened to Somnus and decided to ask questions later.

Somnus: ”When finis.h.i.+ng my trial you will receive a part of the bloodline of the Lucis and at each trial you will succeed you will receive a part of the bloodline of the Lucis and when you have finished all the trials you will have the completed bloodline of the Lucis and finally you will receive our true heritage. ”

Somnus: ”When you finish our trial, you will inherit kings on the 15th floor and for th rest... you'll see.”

Sephiroth was silent for a long moment before saying, ”I see, so give me your part of the Lucis bloodline.”

Somnus raised his hand and a small white orb went to Sephiroth's forehead and entered.

Sephiroth felt a warmth on his forehead before it disappeared.

Somnus: ”When you receive all the parts of the Lucis bloodline, all the different parties will merge and then you will receive the real bloodline from the Lucis.”

Sephiroth: ”Okay, thank you for the explanations, now how can I go for the next trial?”

Somnus raised his hand and a staircase that climbs to the second propeller-shaped stage appeared.

Somnus: ”Here, now that I have finished my role, I will wait for you on the fifteenth floor, young King.”

Sephiroth looked up the stairs and decided to pa.s.s the second trial at night because before he wants to rest a little and he knows that if he does not spend a little time with Helen and Selene, the two will hara.s.s him all day.

Sephiroth left his mental world and regained his body before joining Helen and Selene.
