Chapter 997 - Something Terrible Had Happened (1/2)
997 Something Terrible Had Happened
Take for instance the probability of calling a different person each time to answer a question in a big cla.s.s like this was quite high.
Under such circ.u.mstances, the probability of calling upon Qiao Nan to answer the question was as high as fifty percent.
Actually, everyone wanted to avoid being called upon to answer questions. But the interesting thing was, whenever Qiao Nan was called by the professors, she would get the question correct and the professors were very satisfied with her answers.
Many professors felt that Qiao Nan was a good student who was very serious in cla.s.ses and paid attention to the lessons. They thought that the reason why the princ.i.p.al thought highly of her and wanted the professors to pay more attention to her studies was that she was smart and studious.
They never managed to clear up the misunderstanding.
School had started for half a semester. Qiao Nan was the student that all the teachers wanted to call to answer questions. Other students also regarded her as a good cla.s.smate.
After all, as long as Qiao Nan was around, there was a higher probability that she would be called to answer a question as compared to other students.
It was hard to find such a good cla.s.smate in China.
Qiao Nan never thought of becoming a famous star on campus. However, without her knowing, she had become fairly well-known in Peking University.
Qiao Nan could not help but sneeze. It was December. Qiao Nan caught a slight cold because of the drizzle yesterday. Her voice had turned hoa.r.s.e.
Seeing that she had yet to recover from her cold, Qiao Nan gulped down lots of water so as to recover quickly.
Qiao Nan glanced at the box in the living room that was full of letters. She could not help but sigh. “Wei De is really determined.”
Since the start of the summer break until now, Wei De had not given up sending letters to Zhai Hua in the past half a year.
Sister Zhai Hua never met up with Wei De, talked to him, or contacted him during the past six months.
Despite being ignored by Zhai Hua, Wei De still persisted in writing her letters and sending photos to her for half a year. As a woman, Qiao Nan had to admit that Wei De was not totally without any positive traits.
Could it be that her sixth sense was wrong and Wei De was serious about Sister Zhai Hua?
It was such a pity that despite having true feelings for Sister Zhai Hua, Wei De had other hidden agendas as well.
Qiao Nan was in a difficult position as to what to do with the box of letters.
In his letters to Sister Zhai Hua, Wei De only talked about three topics: him missing Zhai Hua, Wei Wei being very adorable and sensible, and when Zhai Hua intended to go back and contact him, implying that he would never give up on her.
These were the only three topics that he talked about in his letters. Even though Qiao Nan was careful and sensitive, she was not able to spot any flaws in his letters.
The letters were written by Wei De to Zhai Hua. It could fill up an entire box. It was inconvenient for Qiao Nan to keep them. She wondered if she should call Zhai Hua to ask her what she intended to do with the letters.
Unfortunately, it was not common to send things through courier these days. Otherwise, she could send the letters to Zhai Hua by courier.
While Qiao Nan was pondering about the letters, the phone at her house rang. “h.e.l.lo, I am Qiao Nan.”
“Qiao Nan, it’s me.”
“Sister Zhai Hua!” Speak of the devil. “Sister Zhai Hua…”
“Qiao Nan, burn all those letters and photos for me and throw them away!”
“…” Sister Zhai Hua broached the topic of the letters before she had a chance to talk about it.
