Chapter 35 - The Conversations In The Restaurant (2/2)
Su Xing said awkwardly.
“But you promised me. Right here, right now.”
Zhao Ling’er said.
“No, there are too many people.”
Su Xing quickly refused.
Zhao Ling’er thought for a moment and said, “That’s fine too. I’ll return it to you when there are fewer people.”
Su Xing let out a sigh of relief.
“What’s going on between the two of you?”
Zhao Kai quickly asked.
“Shut up. What does it have to do with you!”
The two of them shouted at the same time.
Zhao Kai called out his wish.
While laughing, the three of them walked over to the restaurant together.
When they arrived at the restaurant, Su Xing handed over the menu.
Su Xing could be said to be rich now. Liu Yan’s financial support and the money he won from the bet made him feel like a nouveau riche.
Usually, Su Xing didn’t pursue anything other than buying meat for his two familiars.
Occasionally, he would spend some money, but Su Xing didn’t think much of it.
Zhao Ling’er also knew about Su Xing. She knew that this guy wasn’t short of money right now.
He even had more money than she did, so Zhao Ling’er could only order whatever was more expensive.
However, the most expensive dishes in this restaurant were only those few dishes.
Zhao Ling’er felt that it was a pity. If she had known earlier, she would have saved them for when she went to the Imperial Capital to eat.
“Su Xing, I heard that the Sun Brothers have found someone.”
Zhao Kai suddenly said.
“Who is it? What’s their strength?”
Upon hearing this, Su Xing hurriedly asked as well.
“Wu Yueguo, a monster specially recruited in the first half of this year. The academy spent a lot of effort to win him over.
“His strength should be that he is a D rank beast master with both of his familiars at level 30.”
Zhao Kai said.
Su Xing was already mentally prepared, so he wasn’t too surprised.
“What are his familiars?”
Su Xing asked.
“I’m not sure. I only know that they’re a tiger-type and an eagle-type familiars. None of us have seen them before.”
Zhao Kai told him what he knew.
“Looks like their levels aren’t low.”
Su Xing said with a sigh.
Ordinary people could gain knowledge of familiars, but there were some high-level familiars that were rarely recorded.
“I don’t understand. Beastmasters grow fastest in these few years. Won’t this delay his future cultivation?”
Su Xing asked in confusion.
“It won’t. I don’t know what method the academy uses, but it definitely won’t. After all, there might not be any faction behind these people.”
Zhao Kai said.
Upon hearing this, Su Xing also understood.
The academy wanted to nurture people, not destroy them. They must have invested other resources.
While Su Xing and Zhao Kai were chatting, another private room in the restaurant also had voices talking about Su Xing.
“Isn’t he just a freshman? Is it worth all the trouble you guys went through? You even wanted to know in advance. Do you think my strength isn’t enough?”
A young man who looked about the same age as them said arrogantly.
“Brother Yang, it’s not that we don’t trust you, but we can’t let our guard down when dealing with that guy, so it’s better to know the enemy and know yourself.”
Sun Jingyi saw that the young man was somewhat dissatisfied and quickly said with an apologetic smile.
“Hmph, I think it’s completely unnecessary. Although I’m not the strongest among those people, I think that no one is my match among the ordinary students.”
Wu Yueguo said confidently.
“You’re wrong, Brother Wu. We’re doing this for your own good. Your time is so precious.
“It’s not worth your time to deal with Su Xing. We just want you to relax a little.”
Sun Tianhun immediately flattered him.
“That’s true. It’s not worth my time to deal with such a person.”

Wu Yueguo said without any modesty.
Although Sun Jingyi and Sun Tianhun were cursing this person in their hearts, they still flattered him on the surface.
And Wu Yueguo undoubtedly enjoyed being flattered by others.
For a time, the private room became harmonious.
“Sun Jingyi, why did you look for me? I don’t recall there being any friendship between us..”
